Hey cdoxp800 , am 90 % happy . The kit is fantastic and everything works real well. I just want to address a few more bits- inlet and MAF and maybe re-do the rear muffler!
The car has really come alive and for me it's a bit feral
Thanks to the folks on this thread for your posts and advice, i'l post up the build soon.

I'm having one fabricated pretty soon. I'll update the thread once the process starts.

BTW, has anyone thought of using water/meth injection?

Hey Ian Castle Hill Exhaust did mine and supplied the K&N RU 2820 filter for $350. The pipe is 3" diameter. The filters retail just over $100 here.

Thanks perry,

although i prefer the design of cdoxp800's piping! It's straight through with 1 piece of consistent piping.

No retune necessary. Air intake will remain lower as a result which the ecu will be able to handle.

It's like dyne tuning ur car with the hood up

P.s. How bout that extra pipe to fabricte for me?

No re-tune the ecu just adjusts to the ambient air temp.

Went to WSID ( Sydney Drag strip ) Wednesday night. 2nd time, first time i went the car/me (no S/C) was useless of the line. Lots of wheel spin and axle tramp. Did a best of 15.5. Yesterday's conditions very hot 35c, Track temp at 2pm was 57c. I put a set of NItto NT05's and dropped the rear pressure to 30lbs cold. VDC off, revs at about 2000 off the line did a of 14.1 169kph. Got reasonably good traction. I checked the rear pressure again, the reading back up to 36lbs, so i dropped them again back to 30lbs. 13.7 and then a 13.6 170kph. Had some fun, but i'm more interested at getting on to Eastern Creek and or Wakefield. I'l wait for the weather to cool of a bit .

Well, at first when I installed my kit, I had a ghetto extension pipe and the car was tuned with it. After I removed it, my iddle turned crappy and the car would act funny at certain rpms(I have vents sitting right on top of the blower). I dunno if it was tune related or what.... Currently, I'm trying to contact some shops and see if i can get a pipe out of the shelf that could work before going into custom-fabrication(more moneyz).

If you look at cdoxp800's piping, it is custom, but it looks like 1 consistent piece of pipe. No reduction of diameter.

In regards to your intake and tune, i suppose it could potentially effect the idling of the car. But that would be trial and error.

My PMAS maf sensor is really sensitive. When I had the air intake off on the dyno, I was playing around putting my hand on the way (just a bit) close to the inlet and the car would want to stall. Nothing like this happened with the OEM in the same scenario.

Anyways, I'll see what happens with the little mod project...

What I want is something like these:

^I've picked up the intake pipe. But one from GTM. I drove down there last weekend with a friend who dropped his car off. I was going to install the pipe right away but I got sick. Installation will be done this weekend for sure.

Ariel.

Nice one! So the filter will be sitting in the wheel well? At least you don't remove the front bumper all the time to clean the filter.

Few questions:

- Do you need to remove the crash bar for this to fit?
- Is this piping designed for the HKS kit? Or was it for a different kit?

And it's missing extender piping? below:

Yes. The filter will be sitting as shown in the picture. I test fitted the piping and there is no problem with the crash bar nor it's on the way of other component. This piping was design for one of the GTM's TT kit. It was not specifically for our kit.

I opted not to use get the extender piping since I know the angle of it would not match our inlet position. I have some intakes sitting in m storage place that I'll use for the extender. DREMEL INTAKES to make it fit :P

Nice work!!! Or you could even get a silicon pipe to connect it all up. Whats the diameter of the piping? Is it the same as the inlet on our superchargers?

Are the part numbers in the pictures the same as what you got?

I might do some dremeling too! LOL!

And how much did it set you back?

Sorry for all the questions!

no worries. The part number for the piping is GTM-01201-017. Fitment was good. As an extender, I used a 25* elbow that I found at a local automotive store.

I couldn't snap many pictures since it started raining while i was working. Sorry guys

The price for the piping was $53.36. It is a deal. The lowest i was quoted for fabrication was $350. Along with the piping I used my fujita Air filter. All I can say is my idle is so much more stable compared to before.

Big thanks to Sam@GTM.
