I am just curious because for a low compression motor and pump gas, no meth or anything that is crazy.

Reid, the 613 RWHP pull was at 12 psi and the 100 shot!!

It only made 560 RWHP on boost!

so a 100 shot equates to only 53whp?

No sir, the 560 pull was at more boost but no nitrous. About 14.5 psi

That sounds much more resonable 20-21 hp pre lbs of boost

Ok, I got a chance to install the cut out this weekend but it keeps opening/closing (chatters). How do I adjust it so at idle it will stay close completely?

Just curious what is your boost signal source for the cut out coming from?
Plenum? Pre-Throttle body? Pre-intercooler, off turbo outlet?

The idea of the cutout is that we now dont have to run those annoyingly loud exhausts all day. You can even run the stock exhaust and be nice and quiet and still make 1000 HP !!!
larry, i got a bit confused at 1st but
i am gessing that the 55whp, is kind of the same as making the whole piping 4" rather than neck to 3.5"
I guess taht what he means as far as if the whole thing been 4" what else you pick up... i am assuming there is alwasy a bit just as if you take the exhaust completely off for testing purpuses.

In any case, the felxibility of basically being able to run ANY exhaust is the most apealing... no longer you have to stress about what exhaust you buy n/a if you do if later on do FI.... or about sound/loudness as you say.

TT turbos will have to use 2 i think right... i guess all those with sensitive ears can now run that borla exhaust

Just run 3in DP's to a big Y, then dump after the Y....then a single back to a stock style (or lighter) setup....keep weight down, noise down for normal driving, and power high when in boost.....

Don't forget, Vlad's car has stock exhaust behind the cutout!!!

Hey Larry or Reid,or anyone for that matter, any pics of this done on a TT set-up (Z or G). I might need some pics to show how its done. So if I decide to get it done in NY I can just show the shop a pic of what I want. Thanks.

they just go inline with the exhaust. so if you have a dual exhaust, you need 2, 1 for each side. basically they are just cutting a section of pipe out and welding in the Y shaped piece with the cutout on it.

Depends on your exhaust setup Randy.

If you have a X pipe you can or something connecting the two sides you can put it there, or else you will need two.

I will be putting one on my car...mine y's together so I will just need 1 large one.

the most awesome thing of this is that i have never been " excited" about the cost of the true dual exhausts.... and this is just everything everybody needs FI...if you want the dual exists you can do it and still save a bit on the cost form the dual piping...

this exhaust is bringing back all the old exhaust back to FI life...like the amuse (OK that one isn't cheap but it was a shame it was worthless FI), RS, invidia...adn the older true duals scrapped because they were not 3".

I am not that familiar pricing fabrication work, but i am going to guess its cheaper to bastardize a true dual to start from a "y' and just use the cut out then, instead of getting 2 cutouts.

What exhaust you have thom?

I have a custom exhaust (from before the cutout was available).

3in DP's to a 4in Y. 4in back to the stock muffler. "Modified" stock muffler.
