Default Greddy 18g Charge Pipe

Does anyone know if you can get individual pieces of the Greddy TT kit? My so called welder destroyed it along with my HKS BOV flange.

Talk to Tray at Forged Performance. He just recently ordered me some greddy parts ( still waiting on Greddy to deliver).

I have some spare greddy pipes too if you need any of the other ones. I had to replace a few but just bought the IC kit.

you should be able to have a tube fabbed up locally. it'll probably be alot quicker than waiting on greddy. btw, which pipe is it? from what you said about the BOV flange, I am assuming that he melted a hole in the pipe that exits the intercooler; that's the pipe most people weld their BOV to.

^ Ya that is the one, right after the elbow from the intercooler and than goes to the MAF.

Just have a local fab shop do it. It shouldn't be that hard. We make custom intercooler piping all the time.

welding aluminum is not that tricky and shouldn't be an trouble for anyone who can TIG Weld (GTAW). take a look at your pipe and order up a 3" aluminum tubing J bend. a J-bend should offer you enough prebent sections to be able to reproduce that pipe.

that's a few good ones there. I think that is a 3" pipe iirc.......make sure you are getting 6061 Aluminum , and you probably want 16 gauge wall thickness (.060")

the welder said he didnt weld on the material much since he owns a muffler shop. luckily a friend recommended me the flange piping on the link, easy installation.

makes sense......most muffler shops are only mig welding steel tubing. you can mig aluminum but not with most basic mig setups. typically, you'll need a spool gun....and you have to run pure argon for aluminum instead of an argon/co2 mix that is common with migging steel. but the real problem is that welding thin aluminum (16 ga) is not what a aluminum mig does well. migging thicker aluminum is fine(1/8" +) and can come out great (especially if you have pulse mig capability.) but......most shops don't need a big pulse mig machine or an ac/dc tig.........you're looking at a $3000 investment that is not likely to get used used much at muffler shop. for that, a muffler shop could buy 6 110V Migs (perfectly suited for light ga steel tubing.)

Well my local turbo shop does not fab pipes.

So I have Dustin at Injected talking with Greddy which is a pain in the ***, if no luck is to be had with them I guess i will go with the ebay pipe and cut the bends off the Greddy pipe. I honestly didn't think this would be as difficult as it has been finding a weld shop that will do this and one that won't destroy my sh*t.

it doesnt have to be aluminum you know. If you make that one piece outta mild steel, any muffler shop can do it. you can get mild steel flanges.
