[QUOTE=tonyzS/C03;8335292]^+1 but here we go....

1. i think that your looking for a wideband O2 sensor. several kits use the stock injectors for FI (Vortech) but they also use an additional computer to monitor and add fuel as needed.
"wideband" is the word I was looking for

2. do more homework there are lots... True
done that
350Z UTEC (350Z-UTEC) OR
Greddy E-Manage Ultimate OR
Cobb Tuning AccessPort - 03-06 Nissan 350z OR
HyperTech Max Energy Sport Power Programmer - 03-06 Nissan 350z OR
350Z UTEC (350Z-UTEC) OR
UpRev Osiris Tuner ****** OR
TurboXS UTEC Engine Management System - 03-06 Nissan 350z OR
Haltech Platinum PnP EMS - 03-06 Nissan 350z OR
Unichip Engine Management Piggyback for the 350Z

3. ?????? If no extra fuel management is installed what will be a safe boost level?

4. catostrophic engine failure and the self distruction of the known universe
Not my expertise , but really!!! Any other opinions on that please?

5. more homework agian but a quick search of the interwebs gives a ton of results http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/index.php
Great tool , insufficient knowledge by myself.

6. boost gauge would be a good start... in addition to the exhaust gas oxygen sensors that you will be installing.
YES

7. just doing it right the first time and save your pennies for a name brand kit
We are loosing our point here

8. ..... thanks

You sound like you have really done your homework on this so I say go for it. Catastrophic engine failure isn't that big of a deal.

BTW, what did your Z ever do to deserve this?

So basically you have minimal mechanical skills, no fabrication skills, no FI knowledge, no tuning knowlege, and very little engine knowledge....

Not being a dik, but this is bound to end well.....

For a second, I thought you were quoting a line from Alberto's video.

Well Im gathering all the information I can get from you guys to do a job that one of you should have done ages ago and (maybe) save 1000s of dollars.
The final build is gona take place in a professional shop that is doing turbo upgrades every day.

Oh its been done....this convo comes up on every platform....

Parts are parts are parts.....the actual cost of the parts isn't that expensive or going to change much from place to place.....Granted you can buy some POS parts from china on ebay, but go back to the people that have actually bought them and see how longevity is. I have a few supra friends that bought Wastegates off ebay....they ended up basically failing within a year (couldn't hold boost at all) and they were an old bolt patern so new piping had to be purchased or fabricated anyway....

Now the labor for install, (and more importantly on a new/untried system) the R&D.....thats what costs the money.

For my money though, I went to a place that knows what they are doing. If you are looking for bang-for-the-buck, you straight-up picked the wrong platform to begin with.

There are several people on here that have DIY setups. But they knew better than to try something big (especially on their first try), and they did ALL the work themselves (with exeption of tuning).....some people don't want to be guinnea pigs, some don't mind

Just my thoughts...

So you're going to take the pieces of standard pre bent off the shelf pipes they're selling you.....piece them together....bend/cut/weld them when they need to be different angles and shapes?

Just a question...hope that doesn't confuse your 8 well thought out ones.
