Sounds great!
As a side note Hal runs a much bigger 4204r (74/102 compressor with 82mm turbine, essentially a 7475 in PTE speak) and does 613DD on pump
http://www.injectedblog.com/2009/08/...-350z-testing/

So it will be interesting to see what giving up a 1cm on each wheel will do in comparison. At least it wont be as laggy. 200hp at 4500 rpm is blah...

Raj, i knew you weren't contradicting me. I think the way i stated it earlier could have led someone to believe i mean 800 on pump. corrected and moved on. I don't know if hal would even attempt that anyways. I'll be happy with ~600 pumpgas. PLENTY for the street. i have e85 if i want to get crazy on the street.

i'll try to get that wired up and see what hal thinks. We have a lot to do and iwll be pressed for time as it is so if we're bored afterwards he might mess with it. During he'll probably just use his tried and true methods.

ouch, 613 on pump for him....this might be a little more of a challenge than i thought.

if i get in the ballpark of 600 on pump i'll be happy. Numbers don't really mean much to me. I just want that think to break my neck from 4500 to 8500. even a 550DD number would be very tough to beat in a street pull if the tq is coming on hard down low.

so here are a few VQ big single dyno's I;ve found so you'll havea basis of what to expect in terms of trq down low
GT37r PL kit

from https://my350z.com/forum/4808263-post194.html

GT4204r

from http://www.injectedblog.com/2009/08/...-350z-testing/

PL 76s

from https://my350z.com/forum/4808297-post195.html

PL GT35r

from https://my350z.com/forum/7491668-post384.html

and a comparison of a race gas GT37r vs typical Greddy 20g at 20psi on pump

and 4204 on pump vs the same Greddy 20g

hmm, on the 3.0L supra they are doing a little better on the spool. i guess it's right off manifold but they also are .5L down in gas charge to spin it sooner too.

http://www.streetfire.net/video/800h...rbo_727340.htm

4500rpms, over 700tq

The turbo is coming iwth a .68 a/r on it and sasha sent a .81 to the shop so we can switch. I'm not sure we'll have time to do a tune on both housings since we are doing so many fuels already. Anyone have an estimate on spool vs top end difference. If it's 300rpm in spool and i get another 50hp top end then i'll take the spool hit for that. if we are talking only 20hp top end then i'm not so much interested.

just want to give a quick heads up that a few of the sheets there had varaiable cam dissabled due to early proefi testing.. doesnt chang epeak numbers

There is also a dyno that compared on of the runs form the 76S with that on a supra as well... with same turbo

Hal's was working and that 900hp dyno on the 76 pretty sure has cam phasing enabled (thread was hard to follow bc all the excitement). Dunno about that 35 or 37 dyno though (again threads waver between yes/no/maybe)

Its tough to base comparisons with other platforms, esp V vs inline. Exhaust gas on an inline 6 only has to flow 10-12" as compared to 2 or 3 feet on the VQ.
Since the 6765 falls somewhere in between all those posted above, its a good estimate of what your potential curve will look like.

ya, the turbo on the manifold is going to be different than going through piping. That's the whole shabang we are going to be testing with this.

I was just looking at the Turbonetics site:

http://www.turboneticsinc.com/turboc...-turbochargers

Looks like the have 78mm turbos available with an S compressor cover. This is larger than that 76S that made almost 900whp. It would bolt right up to the kit too with a T4 3" V-band housing.

So I guess the options are out there, just may not be a Precision turbo.

Bin,
Don't forget, those billet turbos seem to be able to run in the 115%+ efficiency ranges...

Those things like boost! The more boost you run, the more efficient they get lol.

that makes me feel good thom since when i plotted it for 750 whp i was still in the 75% range.

again, there is always some error in calculations so even if it was higher i still have a lot to go apparently.

SP with great flowing heads, cams, and intake, and propper exhaust sizing made 1248rwhp through the smaller 6262's:

thats 624rwhp each...and they had room left still (and those turbo's are "Rated" at 670HP.....Yours is rated at 900!)
