They are much ligher. The Turbo Tuff Pro Series I-Beams weigh 510grams and can support massive power. Might be a good choice for those looking for 900whp+ in the future.

Same rods are used in AMS's 1200whp+ Evo builds, and all the big domestic and drag cars making 1500whp+.

 

How much do the Pauter rods weigh?

 

I was going to check on it before posting, but it's right around 600grams. They are heavy, but very strong as well.

 

Manley has been around for a long time and i used their rods in quite a bit of rebuilt Fords and Chevys back in the day.

 

manley spec sheets say their Pro Turbo Tuff I-beams weight 605g, so they are the same weight as Pauter. retail is about 200$ cheaper though.

I dont see any of the turbo tuff rods that weigh 510g. I also see they rate them for 1000 and 1200bhp depending on rod bolts.

 

Uh oh... Either somebody doesn't know the product they are selling, or they just got caught engaging in some false marketing hype.

 

you can see on the box in the pic that the standard ones weight only 380g. Thats nice and light. no idea how much comparable eagles weigh....


regardless, other than price, they seem comparable to pauter.

They look exactly like Eagle Rods, but ratings/specs differ....

Eagle Rods weigh in at 555g and are rated to 1500hp (as per their website) . Not too mention they can be had around $400 for a complete set.

The Eagle rods seem to be the better deal. Eagles weight less than the Manley Turbo Tuff I-beams and Eagles are rated @ 1500hp vs the Manley H-beams which are 600-800 depending on rod bolts. What do the cost btw (Manley)?

Nothing like trying to boost your business. There hasn't been something new and better out for a while. Maybe he just had some bad business deals with eagle rods. They were great for a while and reasonable...lol Time for something new.

 

just saw the costs of theses rods.. why switch to a more costly rod that's rated less and weighs more than the EAGLE rods ? So i take it the S1 price will reflect the new rods being used..

You are getting confused. They are not using the Turbo Tuff I beams on the S1 builds. They are using the H beams that cost the same as Eagles, thus like Sahrif said in post 1, price is unchanged.

I was asking about the Turbo tuff rods compared to pauter. totally different, which is why Sharif must have been thinking of the H beam weight and not the turbo tuff weight. Simple mistake.
