We've been working with Manley over the past few months on some economical H-Beam Rods for use in the VQ35. Manley Turbo Tough I-Beams and their H-Beam line have been used on countless high powered builds in the domestic and import world, including the highest powered Evo's and Subaru in the country from AMS and others.
The new Manley H-Beams are finished here in the USA in Manley's massive NJ facility and their quality control and final fit is absolutely flawless. They are finished to the same exacting tolerances and high quality standards as their Pro Series Rods. Look for these rods to be used in all future FP S1 Shortblocks, and they are available for sale as well. Pricing of our S1 blocks will remain unchanged. We will also be offering the Pro Series Turbo-Tuff I-Beams rods as well, which are capable of 1500whp+

They are much ligher. The Turbo Tuff Pro Series I-Beams weigh 510grams and can support massive power. Might be a good choice for those looking for 900whp+ in the future.
Same rods are used in AMS's 1200whp+ Evo builds, and all the big domestic and drag cars making 1500whp+.

manley spec sheets say their Pro Turbo Tuff I-beams weight 605g, so they are the same weight as Pauter. retail is about 200$ cheaper though.

I guess rods that hold 1000+ are all built the same

Uh oh...
Either somebody doesn't know the product they are selling, or they just got caught engaging in some false marketing hype.

you can see on the box in the pic that the standard ones weight only 380g. Thats nice and light. no idea how much comparable eagles weigh....
regardless, other than price, they seem comparable to pauter.

Thats just the big end from what I can see. The ones pictured are regular H-beam rods. Those do weigh 510g and are rated for 600bhp or 800bhp depending on rod bolts
They look exactly like Eagle Rods, but ratings/specs differ....
Eagle Rods weigh in at 555g and are rated to 1500hp (as per their website) . Not too mention they can be had around $400 for a complete set.
The Eagle rods seem to be the better deal. Eagles weight less than the Manley Turbo Tuff I-beams and Eagles are rated @ 1500hp vs the Manley H-beams which are 600-800 depending on rod bolts. What do the cost btw (Manley)?
Not doing a this vs that... Im Just Sayin...

If Scott Bush had been caught posting the same stinking BS, the thread would've blown up to 10+ pages by now. I guess it's OK and no big deal if certain select vendors are caught posting false info/claims about the products they sell.
Gotta love the double standards around here.

Nothing like trying to boost your business. There hasn't been something new and better out for a while. Maybe he just had some bad business deals with eagle rods. They were great for a while and reasonable...lol Time for something new.

? So i take it the S1 price will reflect the new rods being used..
You are getting confused. They are not using the Turbo Tuff I beams on the S1 builds. They are using the H beams that cost the same as Eagles, thus like Sahrif said in post 1, price is unchanged.
The H beams weight 510g each (pn:14019-6)
I was asking about the Turbo tuff rods compared to pauter. totally different, which is why Sharif must have been thinking of the H beam weight and not the turbo tuff weight. Simple mistake.
