so the other day i was thinking. ive read that it is possible to do a combined turbo/super charged motor, but after seeing the many possible placements of a turbo such as: single, twin or even rear mounted turbo systems, has any one ever considered or ever pondered the possibility of fabricating a mod to support a rear mounted turbo with a single or twin turboed motor.

Next time, please search before starting a new thread.
Anyway, for a quick summary, the proper way to do this is with a positive displacement supercharger. You can have it sticking out through your hood, but one of the forum members (I don't remember who) was able to get one to fit under the hood in another type of car using a unique installation method, but he was not also using turbos. Trying to get everything to fit under the hood will be a real challenge. FYI, a Vortech SC is not positive displacement, it is centrifugal, and combining a centrifugal SC with a turbo system would not buy you much.

The most popular platform for this is the Grand Prix. It already has an Eaton M90 supercharger, so it is just a matter of adding a turbo in an engine bay that has plenty of room for it.
He runs 11's all day at the local track.
I am playing with the idea of compound charging, but that may not happen for a few months. Same idea as twin charging, just using a small turbo instead of a s/c.
