i modified a generic a pillar.
system setup looks good. I wouldn't worry much about the cosworth. For the gains you'll get it isn't worth the cost.
why aren't you running the 2.87 pulley? depending the dyno you might need to go to a 2.87 to get 400hp.
400hp is plenty safe on that engine because it won't have near the torque that a 400hp turbo setup would have. Torque is the issue. If it's properly tuned 400hp (which will be low/mid 300's tq) would be perfectly find for that engine. The only problems you would encounter is if the tune sucks.

I have the 2.87 as part of the kit, but my tuner (who posted earlier) isn't too comfortable with running it with this size pulley. In terms of engine life, if I run the 2.87, would it half it? Or is it safe for low boost run? It's the torque that kills the engine right? So will it be fine to run?

Either way, do what your tuner thinks is safe. There are tons of cars that have plenty of enigne life and no problems with a 2.87.

Some lovely parts arrived FINALLY!
Big thanks to Adam @ Z1 for some of this stuff. Chilli Red for the rest of the goods!
Apologies for the quality, they were taken with an iPhone.
First starting with the block that was wrapped like a mummy in a tomb!
Unwrapped
Used block, but quite clean
Getting onto the Vortech kit. Here's the intercooler:
Filter??
Bypass valve
Some lube!
Inchiba Y-pipe
AEM Boooooosssttt gauge!
AEM Wideband AF/R
3:12 Pulley
CJ Fuel Return system
Walbro 255 Fuel pump
Mmmmm K&N Oil Filter
And the most important part. Blower... MUCH bigger then I thought it would be. Tried to take a pic with my face next to it for a comparison...

Right so for anyone else still reading, some more updates on progress.
Luckily for me this project has progressed rather quickly.
Some more pics of where I am with this.
Crane for engine removal
Blower fitted
2.87 pulley removal
Engine, supercharger fitted, 3:12 pulley fitted, belt tightened. Apologies for dirty engine bay, I promise I'll clean it.. one day
Old cats and Y-pipe removed
Berk test pipes and Inchiba Y-pipe fitted
Pic to see how the 5Zigen fits into this

Managed to fire her up and everything seemed to be running fine, but when I plugged in my computer, I managed to pull the P0300, MULTI CYL MISFIRE message from the ECU. I thought this could be due to the codes being stored from the last engine, so I cleared them and restarted the car but still got the same result.
I'm assuming this is something to do with the car running overly rich due to the 600cc injectors which have been installed? However when I turned off the cylinders one by one to check if they were firing properly, it appeared that cylinder 2 and 6 seemed weaker then the others (the revs weren't dropping as much with those cylinders). Anyone have any input on this?
Irrespective of this, I think the car will have to be trailored to my tuners workshop to stay on the safe side.
Things left to do are as follows:
- install af/r and boost gauges on a pillar gauge
- take out the nitrous kit and the rear wiper stalk
- take out the hks sld. Uprev should be able to de-restict?
Bodyshop work:
- spray front bumper and canards
- respray bonnet
- check both canards on front of car and make decision
- spray rear spats and fit
- re-install front bumper
More updates with pics to follow. Car due in for mapping on the 24th August.

Looking good, thanks for the inspiration! I'm at the parts collecting stage of my build. It should start once the car gets parked for the winter in about 2 months

nice setup ... if ur doingn the 3.12 u should be right around 400 to 420 whp on a dyno jet dyno.. i have an 03 with full bolt ons and cams with the stock 3.33 pulley and made 392 whp. so u should have no problem meeting ur power and should be very reliable as long as ur tune is good. i also used the uprev as my ems ,good luck
