Nice progress.
I would suggest you replace the air filter, you will have some flow restrictions. Looks like the radiator support was modified for filter installation.
I had to modify My G's radiator support to allow easier installation/removal of filter without crushing it.

That's right, radiator positioning was changed. Intercooler had to be positioned so it fits correctly to.

reason your car throws multi cylinder misfire is the 600cc injectors are over fuelling like I told you , the ECU reads the AFR before where the cats was and think that as the car is running very rich it must have a misfire. The ECU will be trying to pull enough fuel using the closed loop to try to get the right AFR,s but the injector off set need tweaking.
You can flood your front Lambda running the car and they may not come back to life. your also throw CELS as the cats are gone.
We can cure all these problems with the Uprev. I wouldnt botther with the AFR guage thou.

Yep that's fine sir... The car will be towed to you tomorrow at some point.
Why wouldn't you bother with the AFR gauge? Thought it was the most important gauge to have when running an FI setup?
I will email you now...

Body work post
Before shot of stock bumper:
Bonnet primed:
Same treatment with the bumper
Bumper off:
After new bumper sprayed and fitted:
Body work now pretty much complete. Still needs to go in for a proper all round polish, but will do that once the car is properly complete.
Primed, rub down during buff:
Result of complete front end:
Rear spats fitted
Me just trying to be clever with my laptop in the car! :P
Car is being mapped as I write this (I hope!)
Will post results when done as that's all people want to see! LOL

Yep, mapping is being done by Abbey Motorsport.
Front end I brought from the lovely Chilli Red: http://chillired.co.uk/
It's a Shine Auto replica of the Nismo v2. Fitment is not a 100% perfect (to the eagle eye), but I think it's well worth the money.

Right so the moment you have all been waiting for... the reveal! :P
The car unfortunately is producing too much boost, dispite be downsizing the pulley to 3:13 from the original 2:87 that came with the Vortech. Both Mark and I are a little bit uncomfortable running the stock engine with this amount of torque so I will look into a solution for this very soon.
Onto the good news, the car is flippin' quick! I tried to get my brother to bring down the Supra TT so we could have a little cat and mouse on the way back from Abbey yesterday, but he wasn't game! lol
These are the results; with a 3:13 and WITH stock cats (can finally get my hearing back). Hope you like:
Do you guys think 425whp / 360lb is too much for the stock DE block?
First impressions of the car other then its outright power is the power delivery. It's completely different to a turbo car, you don't get kicked in the chest so to speak, it's much more smoother, and boost is directly correlated to the RPM level. I do really like it, but ultimately for big power, turbo is king!
It's been a VERY HARD slog to get to this point. I can only imagine what forged engine owners must go through. This project wouldn't have been what it is without the following people:
- Garfield (my friend and local mechanic)
- Anthony (my trusty bodyshop buddy)
- Alex (zmanalex)
- Sarah (chilli red)
- Adam @ z1 performance
- Everyone at Abbey Motorsport
