Sub'd for sick build. Car is looking good! I'm really interested in the GTM GTR intake manifold conversion. Hopefully this will be compatible with the VQ35HR in the future.

They will be having one for the VQ35HR as well!

Time frame wise. that really is an answer for Sam to make. Everything is getting coated and should be done in the next few days. Once thats all finished I believe we will be in the assembly process. The tear down is already complete and Sam and team are trying to put everything together for this thread.

Nice,
But you are going to waste soooo much power (well the TC will be taking it away), until well into the triple digits with ANY 20in tire.

On a GREAT 18in street tire I had not traction through all of 4th gear @ 769rwhp.
Only Drag Radials seem to hold in the 700+ range.

GL with build and keep us updated.

Yup...

If plan is 3 months, expect 6 months......always works out that way....so many "little" things you need, one of them always holds something up.

well at least his car is there. might add some motivation unlike Terry's 1 year motor build. But being their 1st stroked 4.5L, I can imagine it wont be as plug and play as is portrayed. Not to mention the rest of the time consuming parts of the install, like um everything

But the OP has seemed to back away from the one month like was previously posted. Regardless, I'm sure it willl be enough time for the build invoice to sink in. OUCH!

** for that Racelogic, does it wire inline with the FCON (ie so like stock harness> stock ecu>racelogic> fcon)

looks very interesting!

Tom
i couldn't agree more. i also like to double the budget numbers for car upgrades, because those also seem to never work out like expected.

The VR38 plenum/intake should be a direct swap because the cylinder heads are the same. The VR38 also has metal valve covers and should work as well but probably only on the VQ37VHR and not the VQ35HR.

I don't think it will take a year I think they already had a 4.5L in the shop G37 so everything should be the same aside from the GTR intake .

Should be a sweet build anyway
