Guys IIRC the DE motors pull 28mph per 1K rpm in 6th so 6.6 x 28 = 184.5mph with OEM tire size.

Ive only got a basic build on the bottom end and no head work so im un-sure what the new safe rev limit is on this motor? The car does not make much power past 6.5K due to the cams but you guys think It would be ok to rev out to 7K some times?

Also Im flashed with osiris so the speed limiter is set at 300mph! lol.

That is in theory of course lol.

You need a lot of power to get to those speeds, especially when your power is falling (above 6200rpm).....and you won't hit that in a mile, but you could probably hit it eventually.

I had an original Techno reflash that was supposed to remove the limiter back in the day. It didnt once I actually tested it out. It may have been missed so I sent it back when rebuilding the car and now all is well. Id try it before going to the event if you havent already.

I hit 159mph limiter in a slow as ***** stock 03' but the point here is to do it in 1 mile from a stand still.

 

My point is he can hit 160mph in 5th if he uses the 3.3FD and rev it past 7000rpm.

 

My car is practically stock... K&N Drop in, Fujitsubo full exhuast, and some suspension/aero mods. I hit 134mph in 5th gear @ 7100rpm.. I was almost at the rev limiter but didnt want to shift to get my max top speed.
