Oh crap that sounds fatal...

I think your blower is in need for a FULL rebuild...not just the bearings and seals but also the gears...

That's what I had to get done to my blower when I sent it back to Vortech, becuase it started making this sound:

Sound familiar?

Well...that might help...but I have a feeling you may have to change your gears as well, and only Vortech can do that...

BTW, I have the 928 Impeller on my current blower and I highly recommend it

You talked to Carl huh? Great guy...

Well, for your sake I hope the gears aren't involved...

As for the gains on my setup, here's my thread, but it was coupled with a built engine and other mods...

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...g-results.html

However this guy below did just an impeller change, and he did got some gains...

I don't see how the gears could go bad. My blower sounds kinda loud...not the same as the videos but similar. It's always sounded like this though and I think it sounds fine so I'll leave mine intact for the moment.

I upgraded to the 928 impeller and noticed a 40whp gain. I think you will be happy sending it out to 928 Motorsports for a rebuild and upgrade. Their turn around time is pretty fast too unlike Vortech.

Congrats on your new impeller. You're going to be glad you did it.

Sweet, can I ask how much was it to get it rebuilt by either Vortech or 928? Is it possible to purchase the parts yourself and do it?

It shouldn't make a difference...the 928 should work in a V3 just fine...
