We haven't had any piston slap issues with the Wiseco pistons.

The machinist might have bored the cylinders a little big.

Well I failed to get the Piston to bore clearance he used, he asked me what boost/power I was going for and based on that is how he bored. I do regret not getting the exact clearance. Most likely he went with what Wiseco specifies on the sheet that comes in the box. Thats all the machine shop did + balancing, the rest I did myself.

Sorry to hear I did the build myself, or that I didnt get the data on how much clearance was used?

Either way its no big deal, engine runs smooth and great. Only the cold start was bugging me slightly but iv learned that is nothing to worry about, just gotta make sure its fully warmed up before I start beating on it. Now with thicker oil there is almost no slapping.

Such is true with any engine built or not. Not just coolant but oil temps as well.

Exactly, I have learned that coolant dosnt really mean much(or as much). Once coolant temp is at normal temp, i start driving and I can slightly hear slapping (used too), till the oil warmed up and pistons expanded.
