Default Need help with my TT install plz

Alright so i am about to start installing my greddy TT 18g!

My first question is.. do i need a fuel return system???

I am aiming for 400-420 whp.

from reading around it seems like some people have no fuel return system and are getting about the power that i want.

thanks

just the walbro and modify fuel pump assy should get you there

a fuel return is a nicely luxury at those levels but not a necessity, anything beyond that and it is recommended

well. just like others are saying. I agree. I did a return system just because I know I'll want more later.

I'm glad you guys pointed it out bc I'm in the same boat. I would like to have a fuel return setup on my G but wanted to know if it were necessary on stock block 400whp level.

Another question, can having a fuel return system help play a role in increasing your fuel economy? I know everyone hates those two words in this section of the forum but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

no effect on fuel economy. that is and always has been controlled by your right foot.

Personally I would never do FI without an RFS. Nothing wrong with an extra safety net, and it simplifies tuning.

It is my understanding that a rfs will allow for fuel delivery at a lower pressure than just using a rising fuel pressure regulator and is more consistent/reliable at higher rpms?

So using a rfs or not, has no effect on fuel consumption?

the fuel pressure is the exact same for a NA car. When you boost, you need to increase your fuel pressure to counteract the effects of the boost.

With stock block FI setups, the fuel pumps have enough flow to counteract, thats why the stock system is ok. When you make more boost, its harder to get steady flow.

If I didnt have a RFS with a 1:1 FPR, my fuel pressure would be 0 at full boost

you are not using less fuel with a RFS, so there is no way it affects economy

^^makes sense. But do you use more fuel with a RFS or the same as with just a regulator and stock fuel system?
