Boosted Performance what are you using as far as fuel system to support that turbo? And GoFast my block is up and my machine shop awaiting my work on what I want to do with it. Is there some reason that would prevent it from being sleeved?

This quote says your "halfway through a complete rebuild" and that makes you a liar if now your saying the machine shop is awaiting your "word".I didn't bash you for your obvious lack of automotive knowledge, but when you contradict yourself and no one points it out it's time for me to post.

i'm sure your more than able to have someone sleeve your motor.....gl with that.

Maybe by your standards I'm not halfway through. Acquiring parts and information is half the work to me. The actual assembly is the other half. And doug your showing ignorance by calling others ignorant, I hate to tell you friend but you dont know everything, no one does so stop acting like it ya damn idiot "Oh look someone new to Nissan's let NOT point him in the right direction, try to make him feel 2" tall so another one of these cars ends up in the scrap yad" Your a reeeeal piece of work d***head. I dont sugar coat things either but I dont sit back and call someone ignorant either, instead maybe try enlightening someone isntead of putting them down. I'd love it if you showed up in my presence and tried that crap, you'd be picking yourself and your teeth up off the ground. Now go ahead let me hear how your a world class fighter too and such a bad ***. Damn scroungy little puke

And FYI sleeved engine always run better and last longer, the cylinder bores have much more even expansion when they get hot.

more ignorance on your part.. OMG dude.. stop.. just stop now.. Sleeves are not needed on VQ's.. more over they cause the motor to run too hot.. and some of them eventually blow up.. I can't wait till Alberto sees this comment..

Captain Ignorance you are.. and you never fail to disappoint your title

not sure about other platforms, but with VQ's thats not the case. In the beginning that was the train of thought, but real-world trial and error has shown otherwise.

im just sayin..

Holy $hit FML I cant believe I just read this. This is proof having "experience" with other platforms sometimes means NOTHING when transitioning into other platforms, like the VQ.

Go look up my post history in the FI forums, and come back and tell me you still feel the same way. If you do, there is no hope for you.

1.Buying parts is not rebuilding an engine......it's buying parts.

2.Acquiring information is not rebuilding an engine......it's research and from what i've read here is terrible.

3.In your lie you say you're "halfway through a complete rebuild of another vq35 to swap into it".this implies you have another motor being built to "swap" in which we learn now is not the case.

backpeddle all you want we know the deal,we see your know it all type every couple of months. This isn't the knitting forums,if you spout bs we will crush you and if you don't heed tech advise you'll have empty pockets and a blown up motor.

Ok this is getting WAAAAAAAY out of hand. Lets start this over shall we? Hello my name is Joe, I am a soldier stationed on Ft Drum, I have been building performance cars since I was 18(sigh 10 years) and have recently gotten a boosted 350Z and am looking to A) Do a nice rebuilt low compression motor. B) Raise my boost a bit. C) Enjoy the car for years to come.

IslandZavage; Thank you for the info, I was unaware the VQ's dont like being sleeved, I've sleeved almost every engine I have rebuild with outstanding power, efficiency, and reliability/durability results. Many of the worlds top performing cars are sleeved from the factory and when race prepped(C5/C6R *drool)

And isnt the VQ38 sleeved? I think I remember comming across a thread on here about it
