Not sure where you are looking, did you try rx7store.net?
http://66.216.67.51/subcatmfgprod.asp?0=213&1=275&2=-1
Price 525.
Also having owned an FD3S, there is supposed to be an issue runnig a J&S because of the trailing plugs. of the J&S retards more than the split between leading and trailing the trailing become the primary ones. This is supposed to be a bad thing and also removes the J&S's ability to retard further. Running both sets from one signal appears to be the only solution.
Jay
EDIT: Woah, just looked not sure if those prices are any good.

wasted spark?
With the "diode OR" used to adapt the 3 channel Spark retard unit to the 6 coil VQ35 setup, I assume that the plugs effectively fire twice as often. Half the time when un-needed. Is this in fact what happens or am I miissing something? If so , doesn't this tend to wear the plugs~2x faster, and will you (J&S) consider makeing a true 6 channel version in the future?

You are correct. The unit will fire the plugs twice as often. Many vehicle manufacturers employ waste park, so the plug life must be ok.
Better to replace plugs when you may, than when you must:

A true six channel system will require extensive miniaturisation. Here's a photo of the present design:

plugs
Thanx John. The main reason for my concern is that I like to use Denso Iridiums (replace @~25k miles) and they are far from cheap but perfom exceptionally. So this may require a 12K pre change.

A design thought
DIPs , doh... , just kidding, whatever floats the boat and is cheap
It would seem that a very simple circuit could be employed on the "interface adapter". Use of an "active mux rather than passive diodes".Then all you need to do is provide a synched mux control signal or a simple self synced counter on the adapter to control the mux. I think this may be next to ideal with very little complexity or cost. personally I'd just use a $2 micro such as a PIC or Cygnal micro to peform the sync and control mux. But thats just my preference. This "adjunct" could provide som simple features as "RPM shift light" output for us G35 6MT guys, etc who NISMO decided to dis.
These devices are so small and cheap, you should consider:
