OP I live in Seattle and have a stock block VQ with a jwt 530bb kit, if you would like to go for a ride and see what the spool is like then shoot me a PM. You could run it at 5psi and get the power and spool you want without too much TQ.

Dose anybody know of a F/I kit that will only make like 320-330 WHP or close to. I dont trust the VQDE to hold 375WHP while tearing it up at the track while hot lapping for 20 mins at a time!

disregard the price but a kit with lower HP numbers? IE a single turbo kit with a smaller turbo. or a small twin turbo kit?
The problem with Stillen is the limited hp potential and it heatsoaks easily. I don't think you should completely dismiss centrifugal SC like Vortech yet, there are a few people running a wastgated SC setup where they run smaller (higher boost) pulley and bleed off the excess boost at high RPM. That makes the mid-range torque a lot better. This way you get no lag, good mid-range torque, and probably still cheaper than an N/A build or TT.

Id be surprised to see 280whp

Even at 300whp with a stage 4, after afew runs its not gonna be making anywhere near that...

Or even the M90 would do well....much better than the puny m62. Could the cross member be lowered at all to accommodate a larger displacement blower without the funny car hood??

Believe it or not with stock exhaust mine made 320rwhp stage 4 and 300 rwtq, with the beautiful Stillen True Dual Exhaust it made 318rwhp and 308 rwtq. This was with Stage 4 pulley and custom tune by Stillen with a 91octane/ 100 octane switch which worked with their piggyback ecu..I think that Supercharged made 330rwhp but I could be wrong, oh well..Still 320rwhp is like 375 flywheel far short of their 425hp claim for stage 4...

Same thing happened with the 370... There is a HUGE thread on it right now...and I mean HUGE. They overrated their power numbers again....

Fawk Stillen, they are known overinflaters with less than stellar CS. Every couple years when a new platform comes out they feed off the tools that get into modding and are happy to find a place that sells everything...

I agree with you 100% Alberto! I wonder who the head engineer is over there that keeps producing the same results....???

Their advantage is Steve Millen. He has an "in" with Nissan, so they get the luxury of having a car to tinker with several months before anyone else. As per usual, they are then the first to offer anything to the public - like the 370Z.

You have a point there ADMAN, but you would think that Steve would hire an awesome lead engineer to develop sound FI products for the Nissan community. Not the crap they have been putting out. I mean who in their right mind would use the M62 blower on a 3.5L motor???

they fixed the problem with the HR kit. that V3 vortech charger it uses is more than capable.

They didnt use a bigger eaton because that required a "mustang type" hood scoop. the chose aesthetics over HP (and with the hordes of silly body kits and awful wheels being put on 350z now-a-days, there's obviouly money to be made in form over function)
