Small update. I am pretty much stuck at this point except for nit pick stuff since I still dont have a radiator which i need so i can mount the fans, etc and do the intercooler piping.

Mount the throttle body and fire it up real quick to check the wiring!

I will as soon as my tap shows up. I was going to do the vacuum fitting and the one I needed was MISSING lol.

looks like you put AN fitting on your PS pump


they are 12x1.0mm threads right? what did you use on the rack?

I've been tryin to find banjos for the rack and its impossible in that thread pitch

What are the hard lines for running through and behind the firewall into the battery compartment?

The AN fitting you see is on the feed side of the PS pump. I just chopped off the end of the tube and welded a steel bung onto it.

The output side is a 16x1.5 on the pump and the input on the rack is a 14x1.5. For the rack you will need a specific power steering fitting that has an oring in it.

Those are the feed and return fuel lines

Small update

Car fired up on the first try. Was test fitting a radiator to see what the clearence was going to be like.

At least that PWR kinda fits in the G... I put the GTM spec one in the Z and the fitment was horrible...I had to cut the corners off - and flip them to make stepped edges. Anything thicker than 56mm you'll prob have to lose the AC...oops just read u ditched the AC anyways - nice.

The PWR rad is a direct drop in for the G35. Probably why you had to trim up the corners to make it work in the 350z. It will also work with AC as I had a PWR 56mm rad before in my car but it got trashed in the wreck. Hopefully my new PWR rad will ship out on monday, been waiting almost 4 months now. They are extremely hard to get now.

in my car, i lowered the radiator but trimming the rubber mounts at the bottom, and using a spacer to lift up the top bushings

I wish my TS replacement hood would show up soon so I can see how much clearence I have on that end. I think I might have to do what you did and section a little piece out of the radiator end tank as well. I dont think I have as much room as you did on your 350z.

Your car was at SGP while mine was there. Long time... I am just now getting it back next week from GTM. Nice work. Very impressive car!

Sorry for the lack of updates. We were out for SEMA and I have been pretty sick lately so I havent had a chance to work on the car.

On a side note got the radiator in from PWR or as I should say CBR. Aparently the US office split from PWR Aus and is going under there own name now. I have to say though that they didnt just copy what they were selling before, when I opened the box and looked the radiator over I realized that its JUNK, no mounting points line up and the core is the wrong size requiring the core support to be trimmed. Im going to have to scrap it and just run a Koyo or mishimoto in the mean time to get the car up and running. I will say this though buyer beware on anyone selling 350z/g35 radiators from PWR as they are lying. I wish I could get my money back on this one but it looks like its going in the garbage.

I thought that buying a premade radiator was going to make everything go faster, but lesson learned should have just had C&R Racing make me one from the get go.

Yea the GTM spec one was just like that - nothing lined up... Even for the G that got one installed before I did, except the fitment issues were even more extreme for me... The good news is that I'm about ~10-15 deg cooler than my previous koyo slim. We'll see how it holds up.

The PWR unit was the only one for a G that i knew of that just dropped in and worked really well. Might have C&R just make like 5 or 10 for the G and keep them around for other people.

Koyo now offers G35 specific radiator instead of modifying a 350z. I have one and Dal35 also has one for the G35. Can't wait to see it all done

Sard and Blitz both make nice racing rads for the Z33 although the mounting posts would have to be cut and rewelded for the G. GTM makes a 82mm one for the G that are made to order if you wanted to go that route.
