Default exhaust question

so got the greddy tt kit. and to go with that i got the fast intentions true duel exhaust with 4.5 tips.

i got the exhaust so it dosnt have the xpipe resonators.

so basically its a striaght threw xpipe.

VERY LOUD. maybe when i add the turbos it will quiet down the exhaust?

IF not.. will adding a resontaed xpipe instead of striaght threw xpipe reduce power??

Yes and turboing your car will tone the exhaust note down a bit because of the extra backpressure. At least until boost starts hitting hard.

the muffling aspects of a turbo are widely over exaggerated. Its its very loud now it will be very loud with the turbos and even louder when the dumps open.

Just curious what diameter your piping is?

Got my FI when I was NA and wish it was larger. I like the exhaust sounds until they are drowned out by the atmospheric wastegates

If you get a good resonated X-pipe you may loose some power on a Dyno but driving on the street it shouldnt be too noticeable. And your exhaust will still be pretty loud, the turbos will tone it down some but not that much, like str8dum1 said after the dumps open it will be rediculously loud...

Turbo will not effect noise level.

If you want to add a resonator do it BEFORE tuning.

Hmmm . . . . my APS 3" Dual Exhaust quited down (to a very civil level) when I finally got the turbos, at idle all the way to WOT. Weird.

I noticed a CONSIDERABLE difference after putting on my first twin turbo kit with the fast intentions 2.5" true dual exhaust. It got a lot quieter, and I was actually disappointed that I lost that gnarly sound

Now its just roudy as f^k. And I love it

nope, don't do low boost :P my foot is my boost control!

That was when we unbolted my cockblocking Fast intentions exhaust and did a dyno run, no tuning adjustments or anything. Swapping out the 650cc injectors for 800's right now then going back on the dyno!

You misinterpreted me. Before I went FI, it was absolutely loud and kind of obnoxious. It was most uncivil. After going FI, it was much quieter. The fact that it now seems civil to me, maybe based upon the relative decrease in noise level.
