i'm posting this question here because after browsing the suspension forum, i saw more brake-related questions, or questions regarding springs vs coilovers, etc.
My question is what suspension settings are you guys running? I see responses geared to brakes and tire selection.
I assume running a slammed suspension isnt the norm...but i can't get why. Does it cause too much camber? if so, wouldn't camber arms negate that? also, does spring rate matter? I know that too stiff a spring isn't too practical for street driving (matter of preference, of course), but would a soft spring be a hinderance as well? I'm sure that AutoX vs drag racing run different setups, but what seems to be the general consensus on settings for having a well rounded vehicle?
Also, do the suspension settings differ if your vehicle is F/I vs N/A? adding piping, turbos, intercooler etc to the front of the vehicle adds weight, so if no other changes to the suspension are made, would relocating the battery to the trunk counteract the added weight?
This is NOT a dreamer thread; i'm hoping the info provided can help someone build a well-rounded vehicle, F/I or not.

It really depends on how you plan to use the car. 1/4 setup is completely different from track day or canyon carving settings.
But without some well sorted suspension and alignment control, the 350z is almost impossible to drive fast...even in a straight line.
I would get a quality suspension with medium sprigs, that can be tailor for various usage.

Glad I saw this thread. I'm running about 400 rwhp, with 295 rear BFG kds. Also have KW V3s, and nismo lsd and I cannot get the car to hook up in second gear, it finally hooks in third, but any advice to get it to hook in the lower gears aside from sticker rubber? Will rear toe settings help? More bump or less rebound? Thoughts?

Camber is a huge factor. If you have it at factory -1.5* then when it squats from a launch it will increase it past that and make less traction.
with 295's you shouldn't have a single issue with traction in 2nd gear.

Good info guys, thanks so much. Am going to have it aligned and corner balanced soon. If the rear factory settings are 1.5* of neg camber, should I shoot for slightly less, also Im not sure where I am now. At a glance it looks like more than 1.5*....

Shoot for -1 rear camber, and toe in spec
Going from -1.6 to -1 was a HUGE improvement for me.
In the summer I can hook 600whp starting from 50mph in 2nd gear with then 285's. I have 295's now.
