Default 350z turbo installation

has anyone looked in buying a separate turbo piping and all for there 350z? where to get it, what exactly do you need, the prices, and is it really worth it? im planning on doing so i dont mind looking/buying all things separate as long as i wont spend 4k or over for it. and is it overall possible.
any help, info, tips, ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!
best regards! yuriy.

So your just going to make the piping and buy everything else individually and you want the whole kit to cost 4k or less?

Is this what you meant? If you own a (successful) business, there is little reason to be fabricating a turbo kit to try and save money when bolt-on kits have r&d proven kits readily available. Good luck either way.

If you have some fabrication skill then it can be done for less thank 4k easily. Thought you just wanted to source parts out piece by piece which will be a PITA. Do a full customization the way you want is the best I believe. Go far it and try!!!

if your trying to get into engine customization, start with a bolt on kit. worst comes to worst. replicate it, and sell the kit you bought.

Unfortunately you cannot make a turbo kit for this car...

Unless you have CARB certification, you need to make all the piping out of Unobtainium which makes the price sky rocket. Not to mention the fact that Ferrari has a monopoly on the mining business for this metal making it even harder to come by.

Buy a kit.

^you must be wrong as thats exactly as HKS sells their kits and we all know that JDM tyte yo kits make 30-50% more HP/L than anything else.

(ADVANZ33 ... haha good one and also expected.. and that was when i was 15 now he just runs the paper... either way thats not why i posted.. i posted for more mature answers like... is it possible? yes/no and so on.) i mean im sure im not the only one interested in out sourcing parts from different places, yes its a PITA no doubt! but as long as it saves you and keeps u entertained which i would be couple yrs back i saw a guy with a 350z at a car show he had just the turbo said hes working on his kit and would be done in couple months i mean im sure it doesnt take a month to install it so he had to buy everything separate..
thanks for the info guys! really appreciated

I have a pre built kit so i can't help you there, I know Boosted Performance (a sponsor of the site) built his own kit then later started producing them. I would talk to him about buying parts (turbos) and piping he may sell you some . Also i would look into his kit I think the cost was very reasonable(much cheaper than other kits on the market) on a quality kit with quality parts used.

here is his build thread.
