Default Dynosty does Boosted Performance Build (PICS)

While we have had experience tuning and helping with R&D on the Boosted Performance mid-mount turbo kit, we had not had the chance to do one start to finish. A few weeks ago this changed, when a black 2003 350Z showed up at the door for a built engine and BP 62mm kit install.

We had notice that the car was coming, and were able to prepare a short block and heads prior to the arrival of the 350z (as we often do to make turnaround as fast as possible). A day after drop-off the engine was out and torn down so the core components, such as front covers and oil pans, could go to cleaning.

Currently the new engine has been installed in the car and is undergoing break-in. Dyno tuning will begin soon and results will follow. The vehicle has been outfitted with a Haltech Platinum plug&play 350Z ems, Haltech dual wideband kit and boost control solenoid kit. Sasha @ BP supplied Bosch 750cc injectors with the kit. We are excited to be using the new DW high flow fuel pump on this build as well Stay tuned for updates.

A few pictures along the way:

380whp at 9psi, 418whp at 16psi. As we upped the boost, torque continued to climb but no horsepower gains due to kit design/restrictions. This is where we ended for the time being.

Update 3/24/11:
Two changes: Installed Momentum Performance headers and the new larger Boosted Performance intercooler. The results were quite impressive.

512whp at 18-19psi, on 93octane pump gas. Still using stock cams and stock intake plenum.

Cool. Very interested to see the results.

Do you plan to max out the kit and see how it does with the turbo on full tilt? Also, what cams are in the motor?

Is the billet grill staying on? Looks like it might obstruct airflow to the intercooler.

I'm in for this. Stupid snow and ice has kept me from heading back down to finish my big numbers tune. :*(

Once we see what this 6262 does i'll get a better idea of what is capable with my 67. I'm excited for this!!

It's a 6265 .81 a/r, same turbine as your 6765. Precision discontinued the 6262 with the .81 a/r. So now only the .58 and .68 are available for the 6262. Of course your compressor wheel is larger by 5mm.

that sucks they discontinued it.

So a 62 compressor will allow faster spool but since it has a 65 turbine it won't be as restrictive?
