Default URGENT question re Vortech aux pump

I have the car in the shop, vortech sent the kit without the aux pump, and sent G35 vs 350Z kit... Shop did a great job fitting the kit in the car, but we find out that the Aux pump was not included.

I had a few options and wanted to hear what you guys think: (all options are for the 3.33 pulley)

1. Take the car as is, call Vortech Monday and have them sent that aux pump and continue to install (loose all those days without car potentially...)

2. Forget the Vortech aux pump and use walbro 255 instead. Keep the FMU and stock injectors.

3. Still ditch the aux pump, but use walbro 255 AND 440cc injectors. I know it'll be overkill for the stock kit, but at-least I'll have a better tuning ability w/ the setup. The problem is that I still have to wait for the injectors (not to mention the extra cost...)

Leaning towards 1, but wanted to get the group's opinion on this. thanks in advance

personally id go for 3 i like safe power even if its over kill, but 1 seems like a bad choice unless you just leave the belt off the supercharger.

you can you will just have to drive slow and no flooring it. i would take it off as a safety thing but you dont have to. I cant remember if the charger has to come of i doubt it.

i know it's mentioned at this forum and i'll search more, but do you have to take the blower off to remove the belt? i'm thinking of running the car without the belt attached for a few days till i get injectors/pump. the prob is the blower is already attatched so it'll be a pain to take it off again if i need to.. thanks

so by taking off the COG belt, you are dis-engaging the blower? is it a pretty simple thing to do if the whole kit is installed?

i'll think about your offer and will pm you. thanks again

the vortech setup is very simple to install and the instructions are on the web...u can ask any vortech own on here if u need help.

U have to take off the cog belt to stop the blower from going into boost so it doesn't blow up your motor.

there is a bolt right on top for your cog belt..the cog belt is smaller belt with teeth right on the top...pull that bolt right on top and u can pull the cog belt right off..that will in return not make any boost...

go with getting ahold of vortech and getting the complete kit together..much easier and plenty for what u are doing..also i had a g35 kit on my car..same kit for 03-04, the other years the fmu springs changed..fitment is not a problem..what year is your car?

then id check ur wiring because the inline pump has nothing to do with the car starting, the car starts and runs off the stock injectors and stock in tank fuel pump with the complete vortech kit..the inline pump doesnt do anything till the car is into boost....whats ur full setup? if its just the complete vortech kit look other places than the inline pump

I dont want to hijack this thread, however, I know my inline isnt the issue.
I've triple checked my wiring, and soldered all connections.

THANK YOU SIR!! I'll give that a shot.

my car is the 03. apparently some of the pipings needed to be cut? or adjusted to fit the intercooler and few other things. cost me extra shop time for something that didn't have to. now this.. well, i guess welcome to FI lol

or you can just keep the stock serpentine belt and not use the long one that turns the cog pulley anyway. That is what i did on a friends car when we were missing parts. He daily drove it like that for a week, drove fine just slow as *****

and after that i would suggest a walbro, bigger injectors and a Osiris tune, ditch that SS box
