you should reconsider and let Sebastian @ specialty Z take care of the tunning.

He is very very maticulous about his tuning, prices are awesome and he will make sure your car leaves with a Reliable, safe, very well performing tune. I have met all sorts of tunners. I've dealt with, OSR tuning, Drift speed, Gdimensions, XS Engineering, but nobody takes care of your cars tune like Seb.

He tunes all of the cars that come to my shop from now on. trust me you won't regret it.

I would love to run Haltech however, I am somewhat on a limited budget so I had to leave out head work and a more advanced EMS solution. I do plan on getting Haltech later down the line and doing a more advanced tune in the future.

My car is a base model and I came upon a sick offer for a very low mileage pumpkin which consisted of OEM VLSD and 3.3 final drive at a very reasonable price. Quaife LSD is what I would buy in the future if I feel the need for an upgrade later down the line. By the way, correct me if I am wrong but didn't Nitrouz (420Z TT) also run OEM VLSD setup on his car?

Yea I learned after much research that APS 3" is not a quiet exhaust. But I also did hear that it is one of the best sounding exhaust for TT Z's... So I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try since I can always switch to something else if I feel it is too loud.

exhaust is important with a turbo car. the aps is a good exhaust, sounds good, but if you like to listen to your stereo on the highway, well, it might not be the best choice. keep in mind, that the aps will likely outflow quieter exhausts and you will likely need to get retuned if you decide to switch it out after the car is setup

I think the oem lsd is fine unless you are die hard tracking the car.

having Nitrouz using it in his garage/dyno queen car isn't helping your cause. I bet my car gets pushed harder than his. and I barely drive mine

Yea I am aware exhaust flow is crucial with a turbo car for power and of course new tune will be necessary. I will not be listening to much radio since the rear half of the car is already gutted therefore car has a lot of noise in general (exhaust, road noise, etc.) Thanks for your input

LOL I hear you... I don't plan doing much serious track driving with the car for now so I think OEM VLSD will be good for now.

I know at least with some VQ37HR's a standalone of any kind simply isn't an option because only Uprev can properly deal with VVEL. Not sure about the 35HR. Either way, Uprev in the hands of an experienced Uprev tuner is a great option that will retain your OEM drivability.

Nice build, good luck.

Thank you. VQ35HR guys have been hardwiring Haltech for VQ35DE for use on their cars. And I agree with you that Uprev in the hands of an experienced Uprev tuner is a great option for the money. Of course, Haltech will be more advanced but can't beat Uprev for what it's worth!

I have an OEM VLSD and have had no issues with it @550whp.
Sean from Church knows what he's doing.
Looks like a good build, cant wait for the results!

the money you save by dumping (and or replace with equal yet more economical options) the boost controller, samco hoses, stillen oil cooler, greddy catch can and gtm return setup, you could afford the Haltech.

anyone that tells you that a reflash that has no boost or knock safety is appropriate for a car utilizing twin pumps is crazy
