Default Vortech BOV fitted to charge pipe?

Ive been looking for a vortech kit for a little while and found one that has 3k on it but have a few questions about it. The shop that did it said the customer wanted the bov relocated on the charge pipe? What is the reasoning for this???? Here is a link to pics of it- http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php...46009488775649 They also said the oil return lines were bent for a better close fit, but its a v3 kit, what oil lines are there if not to the supercharger? Im sure im just missing something on this one

I can only think of 3 reasoning for moving the BOV up there,
1.) BOV is closer to TB so "surging air" doesn't have to travel as far to vent. (stock location is all the way at the bottom)
2.) More room to use/fabricate and utilize an aftermarket BOV. (looks like HKS style bov)
3.) So BOV less prone induction of foreign objects and liquids. (stock location is all the way at the bottom)

The original vortech valve uses the same mount correct? So I could go back to it if I wanted to?

this is interesting, Ive seen Procharger users do the same, weld a bung to attach the BOV to the charge pipe, i would imagine it would be for extra sound. My procharger came with it's own BPV but i also have a turbo XS h24 BPV that was said could replace the original BPV. My installer figured we dont need the upgrade since the original does it's job just find and seems to open up alot easier under pressure, i could attach the TurboXS one if i wanted to, but not necessary
