Looks like everyone had a good time! And no one crashed their car, so all in all looks like it was a good day!

Nah, he just left him get the go to make it interesting. These photos were taken near the starting line. Raj won nearly all of his races.

 

Had a great time and my group just got done with dinner and getting home. It was a GREAT day in NC today. Locals showed up and the entrants went for it constantly. No one held back except Raj in the pictures below and I think he was just being nice. Just can't say enough good things about this event.

Ha ha - that was near the start - as I recall I won that race by a reasonable margin. Only lost to Ryan - by a 1/2 - 1 car length. And Ryan lost to Hal. That's it. I have vids but my laptop has no processing power for editing - will have to wait till SUnday - sorry. Marshall in the C6 will have lots of vids also. We ran many times but did not get a clean run - decided to call it a tie

Great turn out, great time. Many thanks to Forged Performance, for sponsoring this event, and for rallying to fix my blown IC coupler late in the day (thanks Chris!). Made for a fun ride home - after running 18 psi, 0 psi would have been no fun. (Apologies to Alex for not giving him a clean rematch because of this issue - wanted to rerun Jason also, who was having traction issues while I sneaked by).

SOOOO much fun!

 

Amazing time. I was probably the slowest one there but it was definitely a good time.

Got my first ticket in 5 years on the way back to Fontana though.

Raj, your car hauls *** now, I was having serious issues early in the day (first time driving the car with 700+ hp) but by the end of the day I was at Hal's rear bumper

It's always a pleasure lining up with you man. I know I can't make a single mistake with you next to me otherwise my a$$ is grass. Video of you and I running, when you had the girl passenger, show me ahead by a fender so we're still within inches of each other on a clean run. My guess is next year you'll bring out the even bigger guns so I'll make sure I sneak in an extra 10lbs in my hatch before hand.

I agree, thanks all that were committed to making this happen yet again! The guys that came with me and I will be there many more years to come. Somebody has to come out and rep the V8 crowd right?

Yah Jason, I knew if you hooked up I would've been dead meat - your little tweaks had you hooking better at the end of the day. If we could've raced at the end, I think the outcome would have been obvious. My blown coupler at 4:30 might've been a blessing in disguise. It's nice to be able to say I lost only once (despite Marshall's claim above - LOL ). Marshall, racing against you is such an adrenaline rush man - love it. Lots of great driving out there.

And sorry Cass007, I failed with the vids. My camera pointing forward shows no car in front of me - not even when Ryan beat me by a 1/2 car. I will have to hope others captured some of the runs. Got some nice vids of some mountain drives though. Will have to reposition camera somehow for next year's airstrip event.

 

LOL, you roasted me the last couple of times while I smoked the tires off the start so you did win those times.
