I'll try to capture Cheston, although I haven't seen him in years! He is friends with my good friends Clint and Gurgen. Hopefully I can drag Gurgen along, although his car is a road racing car, not drag.

So what is the average power level at the track?

I would guess that last years avg was 600+whp DD, so close to 700whp DJ. All the built motor guys ran race gas or E85 except Raj and I who ran pump+meth.

 

IIRC its roughly 2 hours away from Fontana @ Hendersonville Airport in NC. Several of us stayed the night at the Hampton Inn that is ~15-20 min from the airstrip the night before the event.

 

ya, plan on not going to fontana that night. pitchblack mtn driving sucks.

The airport is in Hendersonville, NC. just south of Asheville

 

No we all drive back to Fontana around 5 pm together in a caravan the night of the event. It's a blast. It will still be light outside by the time we arrive. Book your room in Fontana for Thu night. I usually leave my home at 8 am and arrive at the airstrip around noon (we usually run 12-5). Actually the last 30-60 mins we start taking group photos...

Well crap. I totally screwed up this year. thought z dayz was the last weekend. I had actually planned to be in asheville on the 21st.

Gotta make this happen.

 

I brought 30 extra gallons of E-85 last year + a full tank and I'll be doing the same this year.
