Smile Vortech Needs Your 2004!

I need a manual trans 2004 350Z for CARB. Basically, we want the car now for 2-3 weeks (just to verify our system will bolt on and work correctly) and then we will give the car back to you. When it comes time for the CARB test, they will need it for about two days and we can make arrangements to have it taken there on a flatbed. We do not have a date setup for the test yet, but we are in communication with the ARB. Here is what I can offer the first one in....$2100 for the satin system, plus tax and a free install. Like I said, first one in gets it! Please email me at spadfield@vortechsuperchargers.com. We are looking to take immediate delivery. Thanks

How about a 2003? There shouldn't be any different. I am willing to drive it this weekend to So Cal and you can have my car for as long as you want. Please let me do it. I will e-mail you also.

We need a 2004 for smog. If we do the 2004, it will cover the 2003 as well. If we did a 2003, then we would have to take a 2004 later.

I'm still on in case you have a way around it. So what happens to 2005, another carb certification test even though there is no difference in engine configuration? CARB s#$ks.

Steve,

My ramble:

I have an ATI ProCharger installed on a G35 and the car won't shift under WOT unless you put it in manual mode. Have you tested on a 5AT and if so do you have the same problem? If you do (ATI says any FI will probably have the same issue), please let your customers know before hand. A tech notice in the manual, on your web site, posts here, get the information out. The one thing that has really upset a number (may be large may be small) of the ATI adopters is that ATI understood the problems with FI on the Z's and G's and they failed to inform people about them. When one of their techs told me they did no preproduction testing with the 5AT and I found out they were aware of the problem at least a month before I bought my car, I was floored! I really think you might be looking at a different type of customer with a number of these installs. When someone spends 30K-40K for a car and has a SC installed by a dealer, I think they generally plan for it to be painless and trouble free. This hasn't been the case for me and other people with the ATI. I'd like to see a system that is truly "bolt on" for the Z and G community. If my dealer said, "Make sure when your under WOT with the 5AT you put it in manual mode", I would have probably bought a 6MT instead and been a happy ATI customer (well there is the excessive noise). Speaking of noise; how is the noise with the Vortech? I've heard that it’s quieter, but that's what I thought with the ATI. Do you plan on having any deal for ATI customers that want to switch to another provider for FI? I am looking at all my options right now and would seriously consider a switch if the price is right. So far I’ve been impressed with how Vortech has handled these forums and the misguided employee. Keep it up and remember the customer is always right (even when they’re wrong). Good luck!

Default CARB on G

Will the CARB done on the 350Z-2004 cover a G35C-6MT-2004
install as well. Or is a different EO number needed?

Default G35C

Would an G35-6MT meet your requirements?
Or must you have a Z?
