I forgot about vipec, but I'd never really consider it because there aren't too many tuners out there vq specific (as you said).
I mean unless you are having VTR tune your car, Motec is pretty much the best.
Besides guys, they make the best exhausts money can buy

Is Motec even a viable option? Does anyone even know of a G35 or 350Z running Motec?

That statement is probably going to get me flamed, but it's in my honest opinion the best. I think (if I remember correctly) there was a guy from australia running one a while back on here.
If I wanted to build an all out race car I'd get ahold of a motec, but that's also because I'm biased towards American Lemans proven parts... and because of all the different chassis making HUGE hp using them.
There is a PnP harness for the m800 me thinks, but I'd also like to know if anyone is really running them.

Motec is so expensive IMO, although the premium I paid to be one of the only ViPEC V88 VQ's wasn't cheap either.

Rich, you should look into the ViPEC as well. Tons of features, great user interface and my ViPEC guy Franz in VA doesn't lock tunes (neither does SP IIRC). I know we have had this discussion in the past...

GurgenPB runs a Motec but he's not on the forums much anymore...

Rich, how's all the wiring coming along? I'm interested to hear your direct comparison between ProEFI vs Haltech.

already have the full 128 setup. probably have it all wired up next week. of course that wideband harness I made is like 5 feet too long. LOL so hard to estimate such long convoluted runs of cable.

just have to do 3 sensors and the CAN gauge now. easy stuff, just time consuming.

Jason was supposed to put a base map on the box, so we'll see whats there when I get it powered up.

Motec is not even in the same price ballpark as anything else. Its not for street cars.
