Talking APS TT 475rwhp goal?

Hey guys my 350 has the full aps tt kit on it putting around 400 to the wheels @9-10psi and I would like to be able to up the psi to about 14 for select occassions getting around 475 to the wheels because i've heard above that starts to require some serious mods. My question is what engine mods would be necessairy to safely run 14psi every now and then. (motor is completly stock other than turbos). It is my DD. Would flywheel/clutch need to be replaced for 475? Price estimates would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i run 400+ at 15lbs on a built motor.. leave well enough alone, or know you will need to spend some real money to hit your goals.. imo
Upgrade fuel, rods, pistons, etc..

Judging from your knowledge, or therefore lack of, I would leave it as is.. Its your DD so how are you going to have downtime for anything, whether its to build the car, or to fix it?
Be happy with what you have, save up some money for a beater, then see what you have left.
Taking bets on what the OP's next thread title will be... I'll go 2to1 theres a boom in the title.. I think you got it right Cass..

p.s. Do you have the journal turbos, or the BB ones? lol

^^^ what everyone else says.

My personal opinion on the limits of the DE short block go like this;
400-440rwhp for those who have to ask
470-480rwhp for those who dont have to ask

you dont want to take your car that high unless you know exactly what you are doing. dont end up another name on the list of blown stock engines!! I personally made it through 470rwhp dynojet for a lot of abuse. I posted the dyno graphs back in 03-04. I wonder how many engines blew up trying to duplicate it? I had never thought about that LOL...

Do you have a DE or an HR? If DE, build your engine. If HR, you should be fine

The stock clutch will not handle 475whp reliably. You would need at least the JWT setup. I just happen to have a Carbonetic Twin Disc for sale in the classifieds

As IF! As freaking IF you're not going to be running that thing with as much power as it will kick out 24/7 within the first ten minutes of driving it.

Try 475 with the stock clutch it should help keep the engine alive

The stock clutch isn't all that bad, it's doing good so far for me...400 at 9 psi....when I can keep a boost controller on it for more than a week....I need a good one this time.

he is talking about a stock clutch at 475whp......it won't hold that power. The stock clutch holds great if drive like an old lady but hard launches and flat shifts have them slipping in no time even at 400whp.
