Default I'm done with this $hit..

My old thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...-hr-bulid.html

Stock engine running 8.5psi.. kaboom for some weird reason!! after 5k mile.
IPP short block.. spun a bearing!! after 3k mile.
IPP short block with new oil pump, bearings, etc... hydro-locked in about 15'' water!! after a week (the air filters in the GTM HR kit sets low, right behind the front bumper) and that combined with my luck

Now on the fourth engine with new rods set (carrillo's), oil pump, bearings..etc

So, picked up the car yesterday from the shop (after getting the exhaust manifolds welded), ~500miles on the new engine, everything was okay. 30miles later I hear this click..click..click..click

Now the engine makes a loud clicking sound, the car idles with the sound and as I rev the car the sound speeds. I don't know what it is, might be a main bearing, rod bearing or even a piston... I just know this:

I DON'T CARE ANYMORE.

I'm done with this stupid VQ, everything going back to stock. I'm really considering selling the car after that and going with a different platform.

Fwck the VQ and fwck my luck.

I feel for ya broski. I just put 1K boosted on mine. If something goes wrong with mine I won't go the IPP short block route. I will put everything back to stock and sell the car and get a mini cooper!

I had nothing good from them, and neither have my buddies 2 300zx's have rod knock at 1k miles; A miss cut mill job left me with .005 in the hole in front with .020 out in the back cause my crank to walk out of block.

Damn that sucks, I can understand the frustration and at some point you have to know when to call it quits and move on to something else (GTR?). Let me know if you do a part out, I could really use that Haltech and HR harness

maybe valve lash, But Yeah, it sux to put all that scratch into something and have little things go wrong that cause catastrophic failure. Thats why I chose to do the LS swap, for the reliability of it I suppose. Sorry for your luck. Now buy a C5 Z06 and supercharge it, Make 600+ all day on stock everything and still make 20+mpg.

I really don't like American cars and engines

I need to get the car to stock and sell it or keep it for some time until I can get back on my feet again.

After the 1st spun a bearing you should have when to a different engine builder.
Here my IPP motor, after 5K miles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTFnf0tytQc

Sorry to hear this. It happens to the best of us sometimes. You and I put all the right pieces together (several times) and just could not get cars that held together for any period of time.

I fully understand wanting to just put it back to stock and get rid of it. Whem I think of the time, effort and money wasted on this car over the past 3 years I consider this

As soon as I heard the clicking sound I stooped the car, turn it off, got out, spit on it and took a taxi home. True story.

Sad story, but maybe there is some lulz to be had. You probably just made a typo on "stopped" above, or did you??? Maybe you actually stooped your car in a fit of rage. I am picturing some sort of attempted rape/butt-fuking motion as you angrily dry hump the back of your disabled car before spitting on it and calling a cab. Maybe there's a bunch of new belt buckle scratches on its bumper to add to its list of faults.
I hope it all works out!

Only a car can rape you and still get you to pay for it.

Sorry for your luck man. I'm installing my Greddy TT and am hoping for better luck than you
