but if they cant build a vq, can they handle a 2j with a single swap into a z . lot more work lol.

My first built VQ I got is from a forum vendor and it blow up. And most of the VQ shops had one or more blown VQ's in their past.

2JZ swaps are a common thing here. Most of the 350z's, GTR's, Honda's and 300ZX's have 2JZ's in them (even they ditch the almighty RB26DETT from the R34's and swap it with a 2JZ'.

Hell, we have a Z28 Camaro with one.

Well I didn't say that, but I did say it has not happen to me since I've modded it, but also I modded the extra protection necessities so I have a better chance of it not happening....Thanks to "ZCargarage". They build a lot of cars and been very successful. I've driven down Northern CA. with my group and we did do a fun drive, and we know what that means. They had NSX's, Z's, G's, and BMW'S, boy was it a fun ride. I really learned how good the brembo's work, and cornering along with the time we made. It was a blast. I am feeling good about this car and the shop that did the work.

Somthing about a toyota motor in a Nissan just isnt right IMHO

Ive said it time and time again, **** a boosted VQ! Its a POS on boost. Do it right the 1st time and throw a moded RB in there and call it a day. If im gunna spend $20k on a boosted setup, then throw it into a motor thats ment to be boosted and not a motor that is not

But see the 2j is practically the greatest boost motor out there for the price. Gas motorsports uses haltech and a 2j in their celica which is the world's fastest drag import. the 2j can make sooo much power and parts are cheap as fock and they are a dime a dozen... tons of tranny options too.
rb's are dope, and i spent a ton of time on ausie/european rb forums but the 2j is just cheaper and more repeated for high hp. 1000hp 2j's are no big deal, but when you've gone through a couple of very expensive motors, simple 'no big deal' big power is quite the offering.
