Hey guys, I was wondering what the difference in shop hours you've seen for a v2 install vs a v3 vortech install?

Well, you have one small ss braided oil feed line, and then the oil return line with the V2.

Maybe an Hour max.

You also need to compare the additional time to service the V3.

I personal like the V2

They will probably charge you more than an hour to drain the oil, drop the pan, drill the return hole, clean and reseal. Why not just call the shop you are looking to have it done and see what they say. I am sure that it wont be a deal breaker either way.

I'm just going to go with the v3, I like the newer system, plus at the end of the day I like the idea of running separate fluids in the motor and in the sc system. Self contained is sexy, and at the end of the day it will let me pull the system easy if I ever need to (and I live in CA... so CARB).

ya, if they were drilling the pan it would probably be more like 2-3 hours shop time. Drop pan, drill, reseal. Might take an hour to do but I would assume they would charge more than what they do.
