the spring area in the FPR was dry right?

have you pulled your intake manifold and checked for leaks around the injectors? The FPR is the only thing it could really be if both pumps acted the same way.

I have a new aeromotive FPR laying around i'd be willing to let you borrow if you cover shipping of course, and would even sell cheap if it fixes the problem.

problem went away with the boost being low. I also pulled apart my up pipe to fix the leak that i thought i had. Half the gasket was blown out so that would have caused my issue on it.

yes, everything in it was dry. I had a diaphragm failure exactly 1 year ago so none of those problems are showing up.

I also did some fuel system upgrades so i've had all the injectors out of the rails and i pressurized the entire system to check for leaks everywhere. No leaks.

i might take you up on that offer. It's the a1000-6 with the 6an ports right?

Update: Locally i borrowed an aeromotive compact regulator. So far 2 days of driving the car and the pressure has stayed solid at 42psi. I haven't put it into boost and beat on it yet with it but i'm about to head out right now and try. So far just cruising with the car fully warmed and with the car ice cold (it was in the 40's last night) the pressure has stayed the same.

This is good news for possibly finding the problem bad news i need another 140$ regulator :*( since i doubt aeromotive will warranty something that's 1.5 years old.

ok, so far i went out and did boost runs to get the car hot and try all situations to make the fuel pressure drop. I have it set to 42psi and the lowest so far it's been is 41psi. It seems to be right on the money.

Sunday i'll take it out for more driving to double check but it looks like the FPR is my issue.

I really don't know, never really even looked at it. The guy threw it in when i bought some other stuff from him, pretty sure he said it was new, also has an extra gauge.

Heres an old pic i took when i got it, i can check the model# sometime next week if you need me to.

so i put my brand new aeromotive FPR in the car. I drove to the track last night to race but didn't get to because the track closed due to rain.

So last night i left the car outside. It was 50* this morning. I fired the car up and drove it until it was warmed up. When i checked the fuel pressure it was up to 48psi. I have it set to 42psi and it was holding strong all day yesterday.

So i'm lost completely. The common thing seems that this odd change it pressure over what i have it set at happens when it's cold. Could the fuel temps be causing an issue?

As far as i know it's not affecting the fuel when i'm in boost but i do'nt really like knowing that it's not holding a solid pressure. It's driving me nuts and making me want to rip out the fuel system and go back to a stock basket with new large pump.
