Ditch the short shifter, our transmissions are notchy enough under stress/racing conditions a short shifter wont help you shift faster.

I like most of the parts minus that god awful hood.

Congrats on having it up and running!

Shifter is the last C's shifter man..... hahaha. I agree the trans is a bit notchy though.

Haha well the body is not done yet...give me a little time to get it all to work together. Or you just dot like it in general?

Appreciate it

I have been buying parts since I was in Iraq and just now getting everything together. Took a total of 72-84hrs to get it where it is now. Big thanks to Ross and Charlie for all the help, with getting her done.

Exhaust is a custom dual 3", that I was lucky to get with another Z at the shop.

did you even note oil temps before that cooler? I've always wondered how being stuck behind the hot air from the FMIC effects cooling potential. I know GTRs can overheat much easier when they upgrade to bigger FMICs bc the radiator is blocked more.

No, never had a gauge on it. I will be watching though to see how it does. It is really the only place I could put it. We did the same for my friends 370z and so far it is doing good as well.

Thanks Jan!!

I have been waiting since January to hear this exhaust. I was surprised it sounded as good as it does. Hopefully I'll have numbers to post Thursday.

nice build.

i've been in that same position ross was in doing wiring. I hate under dash wiring. i need to make a fiberglass pod for my dual widebands and do more wiring and i'm dreading it big time.

Thanks Jeff,

Yea, you and me both man. Been like that on both sides of the car haha. I hate wiring period lol. I need to get another pillar as the guy I got this from hacked the crap out of it. I mean how hard is it to use a dremel?

I still have a few things to wire up. Other than that it is ready to tune.

Had a bad leak, so had to replace the gaskets on the manifold last night.

It is coming along though. Good luck with your wiring bud.

I was running into this same issue as well. I found out Greddy makes v-mount kits for Evo coolers so I'm kinda copying the mounting outside of the radiator support.

But yeah probably fine if you're not going to be tracking it.

Look forward to seeing how you mount it. What size is your cooler. I have the Setrab 34 Row.

I do plan on tracking it. I did not build the car just to say I have such and such power haha. Going to try to put the Z to real use. We have a few road courses here and plenty of Autox events, so I will be putting the cooler to the test. If I have to change the mounting on the cooler then I will. Just the best spot to put it right now without getting over worked on it.

Link me to your thread when you start on the cooler.

Good work, looks like you guys know what youre doing.

I am sorry to hear that you had a leak there by the filter... we would have sent you a new part if needed!!! Was it the fitting in the end of the filter, or the U-Bend Hardpipe?

Charles,

Appreciate it. We have done a few ;-P

It was the U-Bend that was leaking. It was not sealing for some reason.

I tried calling/texting you at the last number you gave me, but never got a reply. Maybe I did have the right number I don't now. I got all the pieces ordered and fixed it. Thanks though.

Thats awesome man! Glad to hear it, I have a lot of respect for guys that do.

I have the Greddy kit with the 13 row Trust core. So being it's a little smaller I can fit it outside the support. I should be starting on it in a week or two.
