If you look at the MP62 specs it's capable of supporting 4.0L applications. Now granted it doesn't increase hp by a lot, but if you want to be "technical" is "is" appropriately sized.

Yes and everything ive read about the stillen says that its just not efficient as say the vortec. i mean vortechs can push 7-8psi and do more than 300whp. youd have to run the stage 3 stillen (upgraded pulley) just to stay with the base vortec.

You are right and even at stage 4 its basically a hot air pusher....i should know as i was one of the first with that stinking kit.

Everyone does vortec tho. i wanna do different and do stillen and let it stick through the hood. i think what kills the stillens efficiency is the lower plenums. if you look at them its like a big flat pan the has holes in the middle. nothing directs the air to the engine, if you get what im saying

lower plenum?

its entire purpose is to direct air to the engine. it flows directly into the heads.

Yes i know this but if you look at just the stillen lower plenum installed without the sc or water cooler it looks really restrictive, that's what I was saying, just that the big "pan" style lower plenum looks restrictive

Dont waist your money on the kit as you will just get a little over 300rwhp out of it.I dont care what lower plenum or whatever else you try its just to small of a blower to get anything out of it.Back in day i even had converstions with nitrous manufactures about using there products with the blower to no aval.

I think the best bet would be if someone modified the stillen provided plenum to fit a MP90 or even a tvs model (I prefer this one since it's lower in height). I would love to see some R&D done on an engine dyno between the two superchargers.

Even Stillen ditched the Eaton SC and went with a Vortech unit for the 370Z kit. The root type sc is just not efficient enough for small engines to make big power.

My stock motor lasted about a year with stage 3 Stillen and a 55 shot of nitrous
It didn't go boom but it started eating a ton of oil.
I'd go to Stillen to fill my nitrous and Steve was amazed I kept coming back for more.

This was back in 05 I think. The "stock motor" only had 45k when I pulled it out.
Sc went on at about 25k
nitrous at about 35k
