I got a Momentum Performance Single GT35R @ 8psi... on the provided tune, 374whp (stock motor, stock headers, GReddy TI-C exhaust). On a custom tune, 394whp (same engine set-up).

The motor was boosted 5K miles ago, it has a total of 105K miles (100K N/A). It's my daily driver, and drift car. Works perfect, no issues. Tune and maintenance are your friends when you want a reliable car. Turbo ftw!

Is your car a daily driver or weekend play toy?

People can say "tune and maintenance" all day long, at the end of the day any FI can and will fail eventually. I did a low power tune, had low miles and skimped on no parts on my stock block setup. Paired with my driving habits it lasted 3000 miles.

That COULD be you too. Try swallowing dropping $8-12k then an oil change later its done for. If you aren't prepared for that you aren't prepared for FI.

Most people would probably just part out and buy a different car if their motor pops. If my built motor pops.........its either ls swap or part out. No more fooling with the VQ for me.

Pretty much where I am at minus the LS part, this thing fails again and it's part out time. I am already looking at Porsches on a regular basis

Bolt on turbo with clutch flywheel n LSD priced at $12k at the shop... I'm not estimating it was the price that was given... N the reliablitlity issue im talkin bout is after tuning after it's all said n done... If u missed the memo then u jus dont knw... N it's a daily driver

I've herd diff frm evry1... Research n others say it'll last long others say it'll go after 3000 miles... It's a toss up I guess but that's y u s/c the stock motor n wen it blows u build for tt

Drive this car every day to work and back... then to the beach on the weekends, and to drift events (and drift it, then drive back home) once a month. Sometimes I take it to the drag strip on friday nights, but it's not set up for the straight line...

Is it a risk? Yeah, it can blow... will that stop me? nope. Am I going to let the stock stay in stock shape? No... I will upgrade the internals and head later down the road... >.> If you're worried about blowing the engine and costs and whatever... it's not for you. It's not as easy as slap on a turbo and call it a day... you'll eventually need better supporting mods...

Vortech, 19,000 miles on my 350Z Track, 11psi, 418.5rwhp, stock engine, jwt cams, clutch, catback exhaust, toyo slim radiator, etc. etc. drive hard sometimes, don't track, but nice just to have at the light or keep from being cut off. Runs beautiful, and taken care of by a really great shop "ZCarGarage" in Santa Clara, CA. I am in no doubt same category as "superchargedg" in that I don't really get on it. But is sure feels nice to have the power and not hunger for anymore,as I'm not a street racer, or out to make waves. Oh, I don't drive it daily, just to "ZONC" (Z Owners of Norther California) gathering and other car meets. Sometimes take for fun runs. Have my other two vehicles for the daily driven. This Z is kept in the garage on carpet and covered.

Just a heads up, you have gotten a much better than average reception in F/I for a first time poster. A small word of advice though... we speak in complete sentences in this section

OP this is the general rule of thumb. If you have to ask if you can afford it then you can't afford it. If you dont have cash to build the motor if the stock blows then don't do it. If its your only car and you cant afford to be without it for months at time then dont do it.

That's crazy cheap. Great turbo kit. For single turbo I'd say it's the only turbo kit I would choose over the current Powerlab kit I have.
