Okay ppl,
According to Mike, I cannot edit posts after 10 minutes, so this particular thread has basically been ruined by whomever was the idiot in hiding that decided to enact that particular rule. I will have to create a new top 10 fi Z thread and use a picture instead of a list that way so I can constantly update the picture which will be stored off this forum and on my own server. I will try to create a new top 10 fi z thread tomarrow, so I'll definately be addiding every1 that needs to be up on it! Sorry about this little hiccup folks but you can thank the owners/admins of this board and their infinite wisdom...

383rwhp and 322rwtorque by vortech, did you forget to update your chart......... https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=60547
Mine did 365hp & 305 pft today on Alamo Autosports dyno.... tuned to 11.5 A/F ratio.... 93 octane Premium unleaded.
I'm going to take it back to where I got my baseline runs tommorow or wednsday (21st Century Musclecars).
My secret anti-detonation weapon?
5 gallons of Phillips TT105 (105 octane) mixed with 8-10 gallons of 93 premium.
I wonder if the higher octane gasoline will yeild higher numbers? In my experience it should.... I'll post my dyno sheets soon.

I have sponsorship from another form of Motorsports which means I can afford the fuel indefinately.... If ya need a hint, I am the owner of this business:
www.Performance-Eng.com
I pay less than $3 a gallon for the good stuff....

this gives me the idea that someone should go back and search for all the embarrassing old posts from the guys who have big numbers now, and the tuners, find the posts when they were noobs to 350z and asking all the stupid questions. id like to see some of those threads bumped just for the hell of it.

I remember asking some dumb questions a couple of years ago when I was just trying to get my head wrapped around FI... I think in terms of the Z, everyone has gone through a learning curve. While some have shown up to the table with previous experience - most if not all of us have had to figure out some things out concerning these cars. What I think is really interesting about old threads like this is that the remarkable progression of the entire community. Back in '02, we didn't have ready-made cook books for 600whp Z's and G's. Now, we do. GTM, FP, PF, etc. weren't on the map like they are now and everyone was experimenting with ideas. I actually think things were a little more interesting back then as opposed to now... One of the biggest trend changes between the old threads and now is the fact that the community seemed more open to share and discuss concepts and ideas. Now it seems everyone is out to corner a market or crush the competition. It's all become very commercialized IMHO.

So... what about the list of best 1/4 mi times? I guess that adds in driver experience, car weight (weight reduction), track conditions and traction issues to the final number... but it gives you a pretty good idea?
Maybe the rwhp #'s should be added to that list?

Back then, built motors were almost unheard of in the 350Z, and running 10psi was an unfounded myth, lol. 450whp was the forum record.....man those were the days, even though I wasn't a member yet (although I was sure lurking
).
