Is the Stage 4 Stillen upgrade worth it??
I personally do not want to give Stillen more money. I think their customer service is **** and they definitaly are the terd in the 350z s/c market. They could just built an adapter plate at least to accomodate the m90, but they wont. So what I am left with is what I have. I dont have $6000 for a new kit. Just trying to deal with what I have and make improvements where I can. Trust me..if i had the money...I would have a way better setup!!
So I am looking to make the stage 4 myself by buying the walbro 255 pump at a local shop, along with the larger injector. Yes I will need to buy the $150 pulley from stillen. But everything together (minus the stillen computer) will cost me around $400.
Here in-lyes my (new) question.
If i were not to buy the computer for the setup...Can I just take my car in for a tune up and use my current stillen box?

far as i know the stillen chip or whatever it is isnt able to be tuned..you would need to ditch that and get a new engine management system and have that tuned...u will need smaller pulley, walboro 255 in the tank, larger injectors..660's prolly and like i said a new ems and then take the car for a dyno tune..all in all not worth it for what you have but if thats where ur at and no plans to change it to make some decent power then go for it..
The Stillen fmu is locked and cant be tuned as said above. The above advice would be good but it's been tried with little gains. The tiny s/c runs out of breath at about 8psi and only blows hot air after that.
just get the car retuned with UpRev and leave it at that. your main issue here is that you think you are running lean...so fix it. You should make more power with a proper tune anyways.
