Is the Stage 4 Stillen upgrade worth it??
I am currently running a stage 3 stillen setup. I was wondering how many people that went to a stage 4 think it was worth the $950 upgrade.
Anyone dynoed it to see the gains? How many psi gained?
I know there are a couple of threads with these results but im hoping to get a better feel of actual results to see if its worth it or not.
Thanks

Well one of my factors in buying it is that i am running lean. I heard that is common with stage 3 and the stage 4 runs a tad on the richer end...obviously much safer than lean. So that "insurance" alone might be worth it to me...Right?

Also, is a meth injection worth it with my current setup? I heard it pays off better for higher boosted cars. Im only sitting on 7 psi so im wondering if that also would be wasting my money.
Friendly clue alert: in case you haven't noticed, nobody is going to recommend any version of the stillen kit as 'worth it' for you. If you want to spend a bunch of money an labor on adding a few more whp then go for it... if you want to stay supercharged and want real gains get rid of the POS stillen and get a vortech.
Ok..but is the vortech "rattly" sounding? Ive heard youtube videos on that which made it sound like the car was failing. My stillen sounds amazing and i dont want to compromise that.
So what numbers would i be looking at with HKS? I mean, all ive heard was vortech. Is spending roughly $3500 to upgrade from stillen to HKS worth it? What could i expect with that vs mine?
any of the stillen kits for the 350z are garbage and do not perform or make any good power..quit wasting ur money get rid of that stillen kit and get a good performing kit. all they do is make noise and go nowhere..
the only rattle noise u hear from vortechs are the ones with bad bearing or ppl who havent bumped their idle up a little bit..

OP, you need to get tuned to change your airfuel, 600 bucks, done. Should ahve been done anyways. Dunno what stillen uses for thier s charger anyways.
fix the airfuel the right way, Not another pulley.
Ur a stock block i assume?
Keep what you got and be happy with it, or realize youre getting into FI all over again going w something else.
BUT.. asking the rest of the FI community if its a good diea etc.. wont ( as said before) garner you the fuzzy replies youre looking for...
its not the news u wanted, but its reality.. so now you know how to make your own move.

Vortech sound sweet in my opinion, no fail sounds if it's properly setup.

this thread is full of fail.
1) who gives a **** how it sounds
2) stillen is garbage
3) you "think" you are running lean and you want to give stillen more money?
4) get a uprev and retune or ditch your entire setup for something that will make decent power
