My HKS GT Supercharger will be coming up for a service soon. I'v done some shopping around and the price for the HKS stuff is around $400 a liter and the Rotrex is around half the price.
So you know what my question is - Are they same fluid?
Happy to report the S/C is still running sweet.

 

its a rotrex unit, so call/email rotrex and see what they say.

 

Rotrex fluid is less than half the price... Check w/ Active autowerke as they regularly use both kits in their set ups.

 

The old HKS kit uses the rotrex c30 but the later ones uses HKS GTS unit.

From looking at the design and specs on both of them, they look nearly identical. I would do what florida-z suggest, ask activeautowerke for their opinion since htey have kits with both chargers.

 

So far i'v spoken to the guys at Active Autowerke and the answer they gave you can't mix the fluids. IE Rotrex for Rotrex and HKS for HKS , so ineed work out which one i have. It's sounds like i have a Rotrex unit but i will confirm this and post again.

That's great , thanks for that Flo-rida they are different. Looks like i'l need to go with the HKS fluid. Just for everyones reference the service needs to be done every 50000km's. I started this post way too soon..
Also after speaking to a few people it appears and i quote HKS had the license to make their own units for the JDM. they werent supposed to release to the US market. Not looking to start bung fight here, but if thats the case thats a bit naughty !!!!
Regardless, it's a very good unit!!!
