The way I looked at it is that he gained about 120whp between 4.5k and 5k, then from 5k to 5.5k another 120whp, and from 5.5k to 5.9k another 100whp.
I am sure it would not continue to climb at that rate, but even if the increase went to half after 6k..it would still be a solid number.

my room mate posted 3 videos on facebook. They should be public on my wall.

the one of it hitting the limit was a boost cut. I had it set to 24psi while i was testing and forgot to change it when i went to do my 26psi pull....lol. Felt like that beast was going to come right off the dyno!

Congrats on the numbers, though I'm curious to see how it is after you get it straightened out. That curve looks really frustrating!
If you were logging in Haltech, view a trace of RPM vs Rear-Left Wheel Speed and Rear-Right Wheel Speed. This will show you if clutch was slipping.

I thought about that Hal but I made a bonehead mistake. In order to get all the things in the logger I had to sacrifice my wheel speed so I have no log of wheel speed. I'm going to use the dynojet file like Vince said and hope I can see it there.
How can I tell if it's clutch verses wheel slip? I don't think it was slipping on the Dyno.
Cass, I'm thinking about it! I can't find numbers on what your clutch holds or what my OS is supposed to hold.

I know mine held close to 600whp with no slipping. It was still breaking the tires loose on the dyno. I'm eyeing a new clutch setup for my LS application so as long as I can cover the price on that we can work on the price. Do some research and let me know if you are interested.

sweet. I could also trade you my os twin disk so you can sell it for some money. It's holding fine on my lower boost maps but once i start getting over 500tq it just goes south. I'm pretty sure it's the clutch anyways.
Anyone know how to tell the difference between clutch and slipping on the dyno? His rollers were grooved and i was strapped down very tight so i'm doubting it was slipping. He says he rarely has anyone slip his dyno which includes some of the 1000hp drag cars he does. I was also on 305 mickey thompsons so i'm doubting slip.
Either way, my os giken is holding nicely up to the 500tq. I'm sure if it was new it wouldn't have a problem but i've used it and abused it fro a while. Someone might still want it for like 300$ anyways for a 500hp build.

On the street with this weather I'm getting a lot of tire slip. I'll watch it in 4th but three speed starts to get too high for my liking on a public road. 3Rd gear it's all tire slip though.

pull looked clean with no smoke from the rear tires. I think it was clutch. sounds mean.
for $800, i'd just rebuild your OS. You can probably get different disc material to help with driveability THat clutch should hold your power when its refreshed.
Seems like OS has good customer service. Prolly just give them a ring on Monday and see what they say.
