I agree....the e-manage does not control timing.

I agree....the e-manage does not control timing.
Where do you get this from?
The Emanage does control timing. Have you ever seen one?

I could swear I have read on a couple of the Greddy threads that the e-manage does not control timing. Maybe that is just with the basic Greddy kit.....is it possible it is an optional accessory that you can get with the e-manage??

According to Swinke, the emanage is not compatible with the ignition system on the 350z.

My opinion on the subject is this, I have thought long and hard about the issue and exactly as was said, I dont want to spend the money to fix a problem that is seemingly unavoidable, so I am going to do a 2JZ swap in my G35c and spend an extra 3K to drop in a T78. the way I figure it is that I will have a reliable high power engine (suspension will fix the different weight distribution) as well as have a good V35 engine to sell and in the end, that way, the money doesnt really make a one way trip. I believe I will have spent less money than had I gone w/ a sc or greddy then replaced the engine to return to the stock condition. This is a car I will most likely keep for a long time, so im not worried about the resale. Any thoughts guys?

Show me where in the installation manual of any F.I kit by Vortech or even the GReddy TT for the 350Z that it says, "now run the vehicle on the dyno for 8 hours adjusting this parameter and that until you are happy." They don't say in the manuals to do this. Why would GReddy not release the password for their emanage if they wanted us to TUNE (which by definition means changing various parameters)? They don't release the password, b/c they don't want you changing anything without their knowledge and approval. So you have to send it to them to get the emanage changed.
