Im going to be doing a supercharger build on my 03 DE 350z and was wondering if i could get some input about my build? If you guys can think of better parts or parts i should replace please tell me. This is my daily driver and I am only looking to get about 400 whp out of this setup for now.
Im getting this done at a shop. Please Point out if I have forgotten to list anything Important.
- Vortech V3 Supercharger kit
- Limited Edition Gold Mishimoto Intercooler
- 570cc injectors
- Upgraded Impeller
- Meth Injection Kit
- Osiris UpRev Tune
- Walbro 255LPH fuel pump

Meh... just means your transmission upgrades are more expensive. 95% of daily drivers with MTs WISH they had ATs... for the 5% of the time I'm wishing I had an MT I'd call it a reasonable sacrifice.
I would look into the transgo shift kit- though it won't help your transmission endure the extra abuse of higher torque shifting it will clean things up and add a whole new level of enjoyment to your FI upgrade. Not cheap... but well worth it if you're leaving the auto transmission stock.
If I had a choice between water meth and transgo... for your conservative build "aspirations" I'd definitely put the money in the transgo. I'm just not sure that you're going to take your build far enough to benefit from it? Overkill maybe for a daily driver? Wanting a little cavalry under the pedal to make the commute more exciting doesn't require a tuner to push things so far as to need the W/M system. Sorry- just sounds a little overkillish to me.
Some of the heavyweights in here may also shed some light on whether or not w/m is as beneficial on SCs versus turbos...

correction* sorry the impeller was just replaced. and its the stock V3 vortech kit. no 2.87 pulley. I should be fine on a stock block if i run it on the lowest boost and on stock settings right?

Well- the search feature DOES work and will work to identify the capabilities of a stock block. Everyone will generally meander around 400hp / tq and about 6-8 psi on the DE.
Also, the SHOP doing the install should be pointing you in the right direction. Once you get their input you can lay it in here and guys will be able to tell you if they're just taking you for a ride. Some shops will build anything you tell them... others will make sure they keep you down on solid ground.
But you're not going to get too much more feedback in here until there's some evidence of a commitment to the transition that makes this different than a "I'm thinking of going FI... how do you like this parts list?" Once that transition occurs then I suspect information may be more forthcoming.

honestly they said it was fine. but it isnt like a huge famous performance shop so i thought id get my peers opinions...ill post the dynos and how everything went when its all installed and tuned
Change: Reduce whp goals to 360-370whp
add (in order of importance): spare vehicle, transmission cooler, transgo valvebody kit, gauges, 3-4k in the bank for a used junkyard motor or trans when it pops
Remove: meth kit
Regardless, your shop is retarded if they think you're going to put down that kind of power reliably without 5AT valve body upgrades.

Yeah if that shop was happy just putting in that stuff you listed the first thing I would be doing is looking for another shop. I have first hand experience (for once) on what happens when shops that aren't familiar with our platform go to work on boost applications with the VQ and the results were Abysmal.
The mention of the tranny cooler is extremely fitting for the AT- regardless. Heat kills our transmissions- with or without aftermarket boost. That is a relatively cheep add on. Transgo (installation) is a bit pricey and you may want a specialized transmission outfit to install it. That's how I did it, anyway.
Spare vehicle goes without saying and extra "go to" cash if things go south or for that timely upgrade of a supporting mod (wider wheels, better rubber, oil cooler... Whatever).
Who is going to tune the Osiris?
