Well guys, I broke down an purchased the Greddy Twin Turbo kit today. I was holding out because I couldn't decide on a SC or the Greddy. I visited a Greddy dealer today in the Detroit area that happened to have a kit with intercooler sitting in the shop waiting for a buyer. These guys really knew what they were talking about and it made me feel very comfortable. I'm dropping the Z off next Tuesday for installation. Got a great deal too. $6,500 with intercooler and install. I plan on getting a dyno done before and after install so i'll share as soon as I receive the read outs. The Z currently has those parts listed below. The injen is only about 6 months old and it has to go. The replacement will work just fine though.

Yeah, great deal. I about **** myself when he told me the price. I could not resist the urge. At one point during our conversation the owner said "take a few days and think about it, but this deal is only offered to the person that we sell the first kit to." My response was "--ck it, I don't need to think more than 10 seconds on this, I'll take it right now." I then handed over the charge card with a big smile on my face.

The shop impressed me and the owner and his crew really know what they are doing. 2 EVO's and 2 STI's are at their shop getting work right now and they're building a shop STI car with aprojected 600 hp to the ground.

Anyway, I've heard that Greddy intends to release some sort of stage II kit later on this year that will include modifications to the internals and heads to allow higher boost settings and more power. I beleive that Greddy has estimated that each turbo has the potential to produce 440 hp (granted with much internal engine and other work to support that power). I checked up on the shop and they're 1 of only 2 authorized Greddy dealers in Michigan. I also purchased a Protec e-01 boost controller for $500. After I got home I started to think that this boost controller is already part of the kit? Does anyone know if it is? Since install is next week, I left the 3 boxes and all the contents at the shop in Novi so I can't look at the parts list. Some internet sites seem to suggest that the boost controller is part of the kit, while others seem to imply that it is an add on feature. Feel free to vist the shop's site at www.godspeedinc.com

The package comes with the emanage device...

Which is just that... MANAGEMENT.

The e01 is actually the controller which will allow you to manipulate the emanage. The e01 comes with a remote, and LCD screen for complete monitoring.

No worries, two completely different pieces.

Yes well I am the one that sold the kit so let me state that this was a promo price. The reason is we wanted to test the kit out and see what it would do on our dyno and also to get an idea of how many hours it is going to be to install it. Normal price is $6500 plus install for the kit. Also, this does not include BOV which I did not realize was not in the kit although we were impressed that Greddy uses Tial wastegates which are made right here in Michigan and are IMO the best wastegates in the world (and the oinly ones we use on our custom projects).

Hey Dan. I didn't mean to mislead anyone on the price of the Greddy kit at your shop. That's why I specifically mentioned in my initial post that the deal was only offered to the first person that your shop sold the kit to.

I consider myself lucky to have shown up at your shop when I did and to have got such a great deal. I saw that the other Z owner that came in later wanted the kit, which means I am one lucky guy for buying when I did. I'll need to get a BOV installed too. I'm not skilled in the area so I'll defer to what you think will work best with the Greddy set up. Also, I might decide to get those Cusco sway bars and Eibech lowering springs installed while the Z is in for the work.

I'll give you a call on Monday to see when its a good time to drop the Z off for the install. I thought that I could just drop it off on Tuesday morning and leave it until you are done. No hurry with installation though because I have another car that I drive most of the time and because its winter. I don't plan on driving the Z much until March or April so I can leave it for however long you may need. Tuesday just works good to drop the car off because I have a meeting on that side of town and can have a co-worker (the guy with the G35) drive me back to the office. He's also interested in taking a look around your shop because he plans on upgrading his G before spring rolls around.

Not a problem at all Shawn. We'll have everything done in a few days. I'll run some dyno tests and log some data and you can decide if you want me to make you a new e-manage map at that point.

Guru,
I'm in your area and plan on getting this kit also. I'll get in touch with you when I am ready. My plans are to sell my eclipse drag car after a few runs in the spring to pay for the kit. If nothing else ill purchase the kit from you an install it myself. This is the first I have heard of your shop, ill have to drop by some time.
