Default Turbo car maintenance

Hope this wasn't addressed somewhere already...

I'm doing lot of a 'spring cleaning' tomorrow on my 05 Powerlab 35R-ed machine, here's my plans:

20,000 miles since turbo kit install (4 years), 46k total now

1. New brakes (old ones are shot, putting Powerslut/hawk pads back on) and brake flush
2. new sparkplugs? Car was turboed 4 years ago, same plugs
3. clean IC and pipes? cleaned filter and charge pipe from turbo to filter was coated in oil. NO oil mist out BOV area though, unsure of amount of oil in pipes. car does not smoke at all, seems to smell a little stronger in exhaust lately...
4. find and fix a/c leak (God PLEASE don't let it be the line from PL as this requires the turbo to come out...)
5. weld up crack in dump tube where it re-connects to exhaust
6. replace tire sensor (comes on after 30 minutes of driving, wtf?)
7. oil change (5-40 amsoil)

next round of cleaning is march 26th at RT Tuning:
1. check tune
2. patch osiris to 'not support' evap system
3. new trans and diff fluids (3 years old)
4. replace lc-1 wideband sensor (E8 of death flashes often now, could it be another problem though?)

Any other suggestions of how you maintain your FI Z? Am I missing anything major?

Tell me about it... I regret not going twins. I was under the impression it would make 600 whpr 'relatively easily' when the kit came out, so 500 should be nothing right? wrong. live and learn, then get Supra

wha??

cant make 500 hp?

well I certainly will.

Your stock fuel system and a G35 turbo will "never" make 500-600 hp on a stock blocked car.. not sure if thats your case or not, jsut saying.. bigger injectors, return fuel system, twin pumps... up the boost.. then upgrade the turbo to A precision later if youd really like 600 whp.. i plan to be around 5-550 whp on 92.

its not the twins thats the issue man, keep what youve got, upgrade a few things, and youre money.

I WILL advise a cool part tho.. RJM clutch pedal mount bracket.. i have one but have never driven it yet as the builds still going, but read the thread, tons of vets have installed one... and literaly everyone is singing HUGE praise in it.. and its only like 150 bucks if i recall. Not an FI part, but something a guy like you could use for sure then..

Is your precision just bolted into a normal powerlab piping kit? I've got the fuel upgrades, 600 injectors, 255 pump, blah blah blah, I didn't know anyone got over 500 without meth or race gas on a 35R yet, thats kept me from going in on a built motor a while ago.

my precision is in a box on a table man.
It is going on a fully built Crower'd up engine tho.. dunno about the flanges yet.. thats been a bit of a mystery to me so far in our convos.. and im not even sure what precision theyre going to use.. 6262, 6265, etc.. it wont be a redonk 72mm or anything, but it will certainly be big and billet, hope to spool up around 3200....and max up 26 psi or so...my cars powerlabs kit revamp guinea pig.. stay tuned i guess.

Im not willing to get rid of my new JWT full faced sprung clutch yet tho, so that should be the deciding factor in it all to be honest.

No issues really, i've been lucky and lots of highway driving to my run spots, the only hard part problem was the dump tube cracking a while ago and recently (maybe due to the heavy Greddy TiC). The smell seems to have gotten stronger in the car lately, might be running a little rich, hard to tell now that the wideband crapped out. I've switched the exhaust out to dual via reverse Y pipe and upgraded to haltech/osiris

I have a vibrant metal cat in the downpipe...i wonder if that is starting to give out too after 4 years, might have something to do with the stronger smell.

the clutch bracket looks good, my engagement point shifts around when it gets hotter than 85 ambient and starts to stick half way, i doubt that bracket fixes that. R&Red the slave cylinder 3 years ago, might be crapping out again as well, or I have heard the master can jam up with junk and cause the sticking halfway on return.

EGT's run 8-950 F at the cat (EGT sensor is there) city and highway, spikes to 1200 on hard runs

I have vibrant metal 3" cats on my twins setup. They become less effective after a year or two, but not to the point of smelling inside of the car...just a CEL and more noticeable smell when standing behind the car. if you have gas smell inside the car then you probably have an exhaust leak.
