Default HKS no longer offering support Stateside?

Has anyone heard of this? I purchased a Rev-up Vortech s/c, and held onto my VPro + Navigator from my Greddy TT sale; does this mean I'm stuck with a VPro and Navigator to use as a paperweight?

yeah; i called SP Engineering to see if they could tune my VPro for me; I was told that HKS took away all of the keys to the VPros. The guy I talked to (can't remember his name) said there may be some bootleg software keys floating around, but they don't deal with bootleg software. In essence, I'm stuck with a paperweight Standalone.

HKS has been going downhill even since 2008 when I first started shopping around for F/I. They got hit real hard by the economic downturn I guess they never recovered.

LOL

Yeah hks went under. Probably because they are/were OVERPRICED.

Hate to be the one to say it, but nobody does. Fcon is boss from what I've seen but the fact that it's locked ruins it. All their parts are always more than everyone else, and yes its high quality but you pay extra for everything. Re-branding garret turbos... etc just adding costs.

Didn't know about them taking away the keys. Sharif retuned my car back in December and is still offering FCON tuning as far as I am tracking.

GTM told me that even if i were to bring my car there, it wouldn't be high on their list of priorities. I was told "they'd get to it when they can"; not sure if i really wanna go that route. Additionally I left a message with Gearheinz, just waiting on a response. But unless I'm mistaken, I thought he doesn't do the actual tuning, but just labor and fab work?

HKS quality has been questionable for a long time. They have gone/are going bankrupt for a reason.

Check out the infamous H-pipe quality found in a couple of their exhausts:

That's old. That was a girl on this site. Forget her name. Most of their **** was made in china like everyone else. Sucks for people like the OP getting the shaft for no reason. Why lock the EMS like that? No reason at all.

Hmmm, not surprising, typical answer I've always gotten from GTM...that's why I don't use them...
