copy sts kit but not making boost HELP
Is your turbo is spooling? It would be nice if you could provide more information of your build etc. What makes you think your not making any boost? Recheck your plumbing and joints for vac/boost leaks and also check your wastegate if its stuck open or has weak springs.

well after getting a used one today it appears the ipdm went bad on it since my problems are solved and just got it running again. although i sold my wheels to pay for the machine shop since ive been back a month and still have not gotten my per deim after submitting it 4 times. prob should waited and payed off bill with per deim lol.
ok I got a 50 trim hot side 1 1/2 charge piping ssqv bov and i switched the spring to a 7 lbs but it seams the waste gate hasn't even opened also it spools like crazy so I don't think that's the problem but I do still have the stock headers and cats so i can always delete them if it's not flowing enough but I really don't think flow is the problem idk maybe my bov is not sealed all the way that's the only thing I haven't tested and I'm starting to think the charge pipe may be to small tomorrow I'm going to remove the bov and just put a peace of pipe in and see if I boost other the. that I have no idea
50 trim dosnt say a whole lot about the turbo but if its like the ones the dsm guys run and srt4 guys run that im seeing in the google search you wont make boost on that turbo. since the amount of air it flows it would have a hard time even keeping up with the engine with a t3 backside that they all seem to have.
your probably boosting 1 mayby 2 lbs, which is being lost to pressure drop from all the piping, and thats the max your going to get from that turbo.
that is if your running the turbo i found on google, dint give really any details since trim refers to the wheel, more specifically a numbered trim refers to compressor wheel. turbine trim will be a letter, and the turbine A/R is just as important as the other two pieces of information.
also is it a true ssqv from hks or a knockoff on ebay? if its a knockoff its probably leaking since the ebay ones seem to have tons of problems, the tial style ebay ones are the ones that are ok. 1.5 inch charge pipe is probably too small but its hard to determine since air flows differently when compressed but you should have 2 inch just to be safe.

oh yah a extra little bit again going off what i find off google since you gave little details and all the "50 trim" turbos i find are the about he same in airflow, minus the billet ones. This turbo is equal to a 16G turbo, why on earth would you think you could make any more power then stock when people running TWO 18G turbos are at 500-700 whp? thats with TWO, of a BIGGER turbo. i feel like im being punked here

A run-on sentence is a sentence in which two or more independent clauses (i.e., complete sentences) are joined without appropriate punctuation or conjunction. It is generally considered a stylistic error, though it is occasionally used in literature and may be used as a rhetorical device. An example of a run-on is a comma splice, in which two independent clauses are joined with a comma without an accompanying coordinating conjunction.[1][2] Some prescriptivists exclude comma splices from the definition of a run-on sentence,[3] though this does not imply that they consider comma splices to be acceptable.
