thanks
thanks
you mean the yamaha champions limited edition r1 sitting in my garage.... yes i have.... no need for sarcasm buddy just asking what the mpg is like... but thanks for the post any ways....
so now im going to have to rephrase what im looking for due to the glass half empty bored to tears negative nancies out there..... FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A TURBO CHARGED 350Z...... what kind of numbers are we looking at.... is it still worth it as a d/d.... or just stay n/a?

As soon as you change the fuel system in the car you can't use the displayed MPG from the ecu. It's wildly inaccurate. You have to fill the tank and continue to pump until you see the gas in the fill neck. Drive it until you are really low then fill until you see the fuel in the fill neck again and divide miles driven by gallons. that is an accurate average mpg. You can't use the point at which the pump handle kicks off in order to fill your tank because each pump handle has a different sensitivity to pressures. In theory you will lose a little power due to the drag from a supercharger but average per tank i was mid 20's on my vortech at 507hp and when i tuned my turbo setup to 652 hp i still remained mid 20's. That was conservative driving on a daily basis. Driving short distances to and from campus and the gym i would get high teens or low 20's per tank. There really wasn't much difference between the supercharger or turbo if i was just normal driving.
Here is the problem though. You said you want more power. So if you add more power you aren't going to drive it how you did before you will drive it harder. People think that they don't but in truth if you have power on reserve they use it. So expect your mpg to be lower than what you have now because I will bet my life that a person wanting more power can't drive the car for an entire tank of fuel without getting hard on it.
I do not understand why a person would spend $10k to turbo a Z (properly with clutch/exhaust upgrades assuming a shop is installing and tuning it all)then worry about fuel economy. If you have the power then use it, otherwise keep it stock and enjoy it.
