I'll finish my client's car Tuesday most likely. It's a BIG job but Greddy made the kit VERY well. We were very impressed with it.

Default Plugs

Hey Guru,

My TT installer called me Friday and said the the kit requires some new sprak plugs either Denso IKH24's or NGK PLFR7A-11s or comparable. Denso Said those plugs are JDM only? Did you do the same? if so I need to buy some ASAP.

Shaun:

Are you going to have the TT installed for the track day on March 5th? If yes, can I be the first to ask for a ride in that beast?

You can use any colder plugs. I use Blitz platinum which are NGK. They aren't cheap but recommended. 7 or 8 heat range is recommended. 7 is fine for stock block. 8 once you build it and go higher boost.

7 is two step colder 8 is three steps. Seems a little extreme to me, unless you're running 600HP. Generally 1 step per 100HP is fine.

Default Test Drive TT

Hey Jeff,

As soon as it done you can come try it. It is at the shop now, and other than figuring out the spark plug "thing" it should be done next week.

The install of my Greddy TT kit should be completed on 1/13 or 1/14. I know that Dan was planning on doing a dyno at the preset 5.6 psi to see where the kit rates with respect to wrhp, then he is going to tune the kit to produce around 350 to 360 wrhp. My guess is that the initial dyno will show somewhere between 330 to 340 wrhp, but in any event we should know tommorrow.

shaun_walsh:
check your pm's

Yancy & Guru: keep us updated. Guru, how many hours do you think it is taking to install this kit? How many hours to tune it? I am interested to see how much hp gain you will get from tuning.
